Had been here recently with family and friends for a Party at the Mahal Restaurant..It was not a good place to be inspite of its heritage and mind-blowing architecture and feel but after the revamp and management change i can surely vouch for this place which is situated right beside famous Morbi 'Julto pul '..Mahal serves some of the best...

We had reached the property in the afternoon and had a stop over, the place was having a platial look from outside. We had worked well.. and were very tired, We just had dinner and left for onward journey. The look, feel and service of the place is royal in my books. Everything from furnishings to wood work has been...

I stayed at the property in January 2014. I'll never forget my first impression and all of the "wows" that came while exploring the property. Read the other reviews....consider where this place is located. This is the type property that makes even an average photographer look professional. I did worry where the spiders were hiding, the room had a lot...

It is difficult to rate this property as a whole. If you are looking for a place where to relax in a safe, comfortable room, with facilities that you would expect from, say, a 4 star hotel, then this is definitely not the place. In fact, it hardly meets even the basic standards - e.g. getting hot water in the...

This hotel is what it says on the label, its an old Indian palace in an area of total authenticity, the staff couldn't have done enough for us & the chef was just unbelievable with a total personal service to us with enough food served for 6 when there was just two of us! The room were palatial, of course...

Darbargadh in Morbi is a Neemrana heritage hotel, but definitely not up to the brand's standard. We stayed at the Mahindra Mahal room which is a large suite with modern art wall deco and blue tinted window glasses. The room was very spacious and comfortable. It gave a funky and quaint feel, but it was full of dust and spiderwebs....

Although the Darbargadh Palace may not rate 5 stars for luxury it is a wonderful hotel. The food is delicious and the service perfectly good without being pushy. The Manager went out of his way to be helpful. Some people in our party were not happy with their rooms. They were too big and too far from the bathroom. In...

I think trip advisor should not just put up reviews...I read a few before visitng but was shocked to see that place when I reached there. It is an isolated, stinky, stuffy, 7 seven room property. Its wrong to call it a hotel. Is an old re-furbished palace with hardly any occupancy. The worst is that the place had a...

Dear Guest, We are extremely disappointed to read your review about Darbargadh Palace and are writing to apologise with an explanation. As you may be aware, Neemrana tries to employ as many local people who are often not educated. We put them through a training program and try to empower them to run our local heritage with pride. This prevents...

We - my wife, our dsaughter and I - stayed one hight at Darbargadh Palace en route from Kathiawar to Kuttch in Decemeber. One has to recognise that this is a former palace in the centre of a smallish regional town in rural Gujarat, and not at the epicentre of the rule of the Rajas in Rajasthan. So, it is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Reflected in the Macchu river, the 19th century Darbargadh spreads out all the glory and magnificence of a century made eternal by the patronage of maharajas . The Jadejas ruled Morvi from the 17th century, but the oldest wing of their palaces that remain at Darbargadh, dates back to circa 1885 and is credited to HH Shri Waghji Rawaji Thakore.Wooden stairways lead to marble galleries that skirt the palace while spacious public areas lead to equally vast suites with bathrooms the size of apartments ! A palm-fringed garden sits on one edge while a fountain bubbles in one of the courts. Kathiavad is rich in monuments – even with an Indus Valley site at Lothal – and pilgrim spots which can be accessed from Morvi. ... more   less
