We stayed there for 2 nights (16th to 18th April), looking at the property images, we were super excited to spend our vacation, we were literally starving, listing out our experience for the owners to correct and people who are planning to visit go prepared. 1. They are operating this 6 bed room Vila with a kitchen which has, very basic vessels, and it has only one gas cooker. 2. They don't have a cook, which they promised to during the time of reservation, instead there was elderly person who is living near by, who did not know anything about cooking. 3. Depending on the cook, we took groceries, meat etc to prepare food and to enjoy meals, kids got food poison with the very first lunch they prepared, hence we decided to cook our own food, even during the vacation (Since there were no restaurants available during this seasonal time). 4. Putting all these aside, we wanted enjoy our time, we started preparing our own food, but the best part was, the food which we prepared and kept in the kitchen went missing (big portions). The soft drinks, grocery items, etc were stolen from the kitchen refrigerator. 5. What we understood was, They have two properties within a close proximity, hence they were managing both by the same staff, and they were stealing and when questioned, there is no proper answer. Even the cuttlaries and vessels were swapped between both properties. 6. THEY HAVE STAFFED TWO BOYS WHO ARE 14 YEARS OLD (MINOR) TO DO ALL THE CLEANING AND ASSISTING WORK AT THE VILA, THEY ENCOURAGING CHILD LABOR FOR CHEAP WAGES. 7. No proper linen was provided, Certain rooms washroom water supply was not proper. We pay and come to have a good time, not to cook our own food, clean your property, and get robbed by your staff, our kids were hungry, one of the worst experiences ever.. Property is good, Calm and relaxing environment, but nothing more! Very poor irresponsible management, IF U R PLANNING TO GO, DO NOT PAY THE FULL AMOUNT IN ADVANCE. (THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE WE DID) We reserved the 6 bedroom Vila!…
We were there for 2 nights. Friendly staff and really helpful. Great service. Enjoyed a lot. Close to all important locations around the area. Great value for the amount spent. Recommended for everyone. Thank you team Wild Heaven.
Our stay at Wild Heaven was actually a great time to remember! We especially want to mention Mr. Chamith, the Hotel Manager who provided us exceptional customer service. From the beginning itself, he was positive and did everything in his ability to make our stay the best. He was very professional and very kind. Just like him, every other staff member was very nice to us and made sure all our needs were met. The biggest plus point was that they were so nice to cook us dinner, just the way we requested and it was so delicious!Overall, we enjoyed everything at the hotel, the rooms, food, service! The best part is that they never condemned us just because we were locals (this is story otherwise in certain hotels here) they did everything in their capacity to make our experience the best! Highly recommended! 5+++ stars!…
Ideal place for a getaway where you can find a serenity view, freedom and exceptional hospitality. Friendly staff and recommend for family and group outings. A place to save for the next out as well!!
We are a family of 4 with 2 children ages 9 and 10. We were blown away by the care and kindness of the staff at Wild Heaven. Long review but bear with me! We were welcomed by the lovely Chamith with drinks after our long car journey. He showed us a room in the main hotel but had already discussed via WhatsApp that he would upgrade us free of charge, we walked down the track to a separate area of the hotel. You walk into a lovely court yard with 4 Indian star tortoises, which immediately got the children interested! Up a few steps to a swimming pool with 6 rooms around it. A beautiful tree is a centrepiece and over hangs the pool. Ignore one guests' review about leaves in the pool... The caretaker cleaned the pool every morning before the children went in. There's a tree over it - of course there will be leaves! The room was a nice size with 2 double beds, very spacious bathroom and well presented toiletries and towels. The room was nice and clean. Aircon worked very well. The TV turned on but said all the channels were unsubscribed. We didn't bother to mention this to the staff as we were happy without a TV. WiFi worked really well and they brought the router into our room. We had arranged transport ourselves for Yala safari the next day, although we were informed the hotel could do this if we needed. They did however box up a breakfast for us to take as we would miss the hotel breakfast. Boiled egg, cheese sandwich, 2 sausages, a banana and a bottle of water. The food here is nice, I can recommend the chicken noodles. Now where they really exelled ... On the afternoon after the safari the children were playing in the pool, my daughter slipped and cut her head - pure accident. I called Chamith and not even a minute after I put the phone down he and other staff came actually running to our aid. After a quick look we were all in agreement she needed to be seen by a doctor. The owner of the hotel drove us to a nearby clinic and then to a local hospital. He helped to translate as the hospital staff did not speak much English. My daughter and I ended up staying for a few hours as she needed stitches - but that's another story! The hotel owner took my husband and his daughter back to the hotel where they were met with complimentary milkshakes! He came back to get us as soon as I called, he helped with paperwork and payment. When we got back to the hotel my daughter and I were also greeted with complimentary milkshakes and a plate of fresh fruit. The staff were outside taking photos of the pool and we could see them having a meeting about what had happened. The steps are slippery but I hold no blame with the hotel, its a swimming pool, it's going to be slippery. I was so touched by how kind all the staff were. They were constantly checking that my daughter was feeling OK. They made a scary situation (going to hospital in a foreign country) so much easier and I can't thank them enough. We ended up having to stay 2 nights due to the accident, they even discounted this second night. I would recommend this place to anyone! My only, absolute only suggestion to make this place perfect would be to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. Although there is a fridge for your water etc. …
