Rooms are clean and basic. We got the rooms downstairs but have heard the ones upstairs are bigger. Didn't get to try their food (aside from the free breakfast) as they were too busy for us. Located at 10 mins from town centre, so it's quieter (except for the howling dogs nearby).

My Village is a cosy, small hotel, very well maintained, excellent service. Very homely - one can relax in the hammocks and the comfortable chairs in the garden, and enjoy local home cooked breakfast! Ideal for families with young children as ample room for them to play! Well located for Yala and Katargama. So serene, relaxing and an amazing break!

This small boutique hotel is a serene oasis from the buzz that can be Sri Lanka. It had only seven rooms so might be quickly booked out. The whole setting is absolutely beautiful with s tropical garden and a modern designed house with a unique open plan layout. The rooms upstairs are new additions and are somewhat more modern than...

A truely relaxing environment, large rooms with an outdoor area to chill & relax. Very happy, helpful staff, & the food is excellent. This hotel has become a favourite while travelling around Sri Lanka. This Hotel is well above some of the 4**** that I have stayed in.

We arrived and the staff didn't find our booking and as the manager's phone was out of range, we had a problem. Not a good start. Fortunately it was solved within 30minutes and we got to our room. Room was nice, clean, painted with warm colours, bathroom a bit small. We had dinner there, food was good. Twice during dinner...

One of the best places I stayed in during 3 weeks of Sri Lanka. Absolutely beautiful place, with big and very clean rooms. Aircon is working fine, wifi is very fast and food is great. Considering the price, this is a very very good deal. Only downside was the fact there was no mosquito net. There were a few mosquitos...

On our round trip through Sri Lanka we wanted to visit the Yala national park. Since it is low season we did not reserve but just dropped in. And we were in for a surprise. This hotel is on a different level. It is superclean, has a modern design and has a very nice garden with lots of comfy seats....

We booked a deluxe room at my village for two nights at the beginning of April. The hotel is nicely designed, it has a beautiful yard, the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is good and it is freshly prepared. Definitely recommend this place as very good value for money in Tissa.

This hotel is excellent as a jumping off spot for Yala. It's also fairly close to the main city center (200rp tuktuk) and also very close to the lake. The hotel itself is incredibly comfortable and well designed. From the sitting areas downstairs to the sort of "modern safari" styling of the rooms, there are great places to just sit...
