Yaye guest house is a palm tree island in the middle of rice fields. Rooms are clean, functional and nicely decorated. The best thing about it is the owner. Shantha is simply a magical person. Warm, welcoming and helpful. You feel like at home. Plenty of interesting wildlife around so You can sit in the garden and watch hunderds of visiting birds. Shantha is very knowledgable about nature and will happiliy show You local animals and plants. He will also arrange all You need for You. BEST place we`ve been to in Sri Lanka!! Honestly, can`t reccomedn this highly enough!!

Great place to stay, with a friendly host. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The location is nice and quiet, with lots of birds. The owner took us to the beach and showed us owls at night. If we ever come back, we would love to stay here again!

Yaye guest house: Yaye guest house is owned by Shantha! He is really nice local with the heart on the right place! He Will make you feel comfortabel as much as je can. He is not after your money but really wants to become Friends. After our arrival he took 3 coconut from the coconut tree and prepared it for a drink to welcome us. Accommodation: The guest house is on a really Nice relaxing place. Lots of green and birds flying around all the time. The rooms are very clean and you have a own clean bathroom with a HOT SHOWER and cold shower:) There are allot of chill "zones" so i can listening to music together with Shantha (hè loves reggae), while my girlfriend sits @ an other table to write traveling notes. Diner is lovely. I dont want to praise him Just because we like him, but he is a real good chef. Je using a small kitchen but with fresh ingredients. You should try it by yourself! The breakfast is really enough. You have fresh juice, thee or coffee (what you prefere), toast bread, egg, jam & butter. Its really a good start of the Day. Service: He can arrange all kinds of safari trips, taxi or what ever you want. If you like you can walk arround in the evening spotting owls and crocodiles or Just Stay @ the home Stay for a good chat. Bundala Safari trip: We went for a safari trip @ bundala's safari. IT was really relaxing because most people go for the yala park to spot Beers and lepards. @ bundala you can spot everything but no lepards or Beers. Because we dont like the bizzy safari we chose for the birds safari (bundala). But we spotted really alot of animals. Monkeys, birds & Eagle cathing/eating fish^^, crocodiles, boars, deers, lizards, cows and lots more. Ofcourse we spotted elephants! And its a rare thing but its was really close and came even closer while IT was searching for food! Really amazing. See the pics. We had a great Stay for 2 nights! And if you like nature and relaxing with great food, you really should Stay here! Highly recommanded!

We have stayed at the guesthouse for 2 nights to do the Yala National Park safari. It was absolutely perfect. The host, Shantha, made us feel very welcome and provided us with the best service and hospitality. The guesthouse is located in such a nice peaceful place. You can just relax and enjoy the nature around you. There are lots of birds and other animals around. Shantha has got amazing cooking skills as well and cooked us the best fish we ever had. We can recommend this place for anyone and it will surely be an experience you will never forget. Thank you!
