We have spent two nights in this hotel which is located a bit far from Tissa. The 16 rooms are located in four chalets around the pool. The hotel area is very green and home to different animals and insects. Unfortunately these animals also made their way into the rooms and we had to deal not only with mosquitoes and ants, but also with several huge bugs (3.5 cm long!) and even a scorpion. That's why I did not feel very comfortable sleeping there. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow, and the food was nothing special.

We stayed for one night while visiting Yala. Lovely spacious cabin rooms surrounded by gardens and little ponds, a couple of times as we opened the door cute little frogs hopped in! The grounds seemed to be full of wildlife, there was a board in the reception area to record sightings along with some beautiful photos the owner of the hotel had taken. The staff were friendly and cheerful and dinner in the open air restaurant was delicious, but such huge portions! We left early in the morning but would have loved to have been able to stay longer!

I stayed in July 2019 when their were barely any tourists in Sri Lanka. I stayed for two nights and on the second night I think I was alone there. It was a beautiful hotel with a lovely pool - perfect temperature. I had it all to myself on the second day and while that was great for me, I hope that tourists return soon and come to stay at this wonderful hotel with lovely staff. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of opportunity to see exotic bird life outside the dining area and around the pool. I was woken one morning by peacocks on the roof. Loved it. And the food was really great. I had devilled fish one night and then Nasi goreng the second. It was all wonderful and very reasonably priced. It’s a wonderful hotel with wonderful staff. Highly recommend it.

The staff were excellent and very accommodating. The food was nice, and the rooms were very clean. The only disappointment was the pool, there were lots of insects inside it and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned recently, however as soon as I told the staff they apologized and cleaned it that night. Apart from that, great stay!

Excellent hotel , wonderful nature friendly gardens with many different birds , butterflies and even a Mugger crocodile . Large room with tea making facilities , fridge and hot shower . Large comfy bed with A/C and fan . Cheap and efficient laundry service and spotless swimming pool . Very good four course meals with the buffet particularly tasty . Great to watch local delicacies cooked in front of you . All staff were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough for you . The hotel also offers spa and massage treatments which I did not have time to sample . Whilst at the hotel I visited Yala N.P. , Tissamarahama Wetlands , Bundala Ramsar wetland area and Udawalawa N.P. Thé hôtel is a short drive for all these fascinating wildlife areas .
