WOW Factor... I visited & stayed @ Casa de Coria last year ( 2020 ) before the pandemic. I returned recently( April 2021) for a brief stay & had a jaw dropping hospitality experience. The owner/operator... they call him (Bruce) did extensive renovations during the pandemic lock down. What has changed: The pool deck has been expanded to allow the guests full sun..ALL DAY if you choose with premium chase lounges, lights installed in the pool, for moon light swims, a new TIKI Bar is adjacent to give the guest shade & entertainment & flexibility with your beverages. New paved walk ways., new secure parking inside, grape vines have been installed to give you that Mendoza feeling of being in a petite vineyard. Casa de Coria has a new wine/gift shop, a whiskey bar & a cigar room if you choose to use. All of the rooms have the expected amenities, all the rooms from what I could see, have been up-graded with premium bedding & pillows( best sleep in Mendoza), the rooms are very well appointed & accessorized with one-of kind antiques & argentine props dating back to a the art deco area or a more simpler time. The casa de Coria compound is very well manicured and the grass feels SO,SO good on your bare feet, I never wore my shoes inside the compound!! What really stands out for me on this visit was the ultimate privacy you experience when you enter the grounds. So during my stay, the mask guard is at your discretion & comfort level... not required if you choose. The evening fire place outside, sipping whiskey or wine. The flexibility to order food in or use the huge grill & clay oven to prepare your own culinary delights. What is really fun if you stay over on a Sunday night is " BISTRO " night.. the owner BRUCE has a chef team brought in to prepare and provide a three course gourmet dinner, paired with wine & a musical duet that preforms classic fun songs... you are even invited to sing Karaoke. I was fortunate to hear the owner bruce sing Hey Jude & stair way to heaven... Bruce you Nailed it! WOW.. What a Fantastic visit I had!!!…
An excellent spot, in the wine-growing town of Lujan de Cuyo, which is an upscale suburb of Mendoza. Large ground floor rooms and very good breakfast provided. Run by an American retired pilot, who, along with front of house staff was very welcoming and helpful. Trips to local wineries were arranged for us. The town centre is just outside, with several restaurants - and in the central square, we watched locals dancing Tango in the open air. Frequent buses run from outside the property to central Medoza. Secure car parking provided.
Those (like me) with inhibitions about b & b’s should abandon them in favour of this wonderful small establishment. “Small” is relative: the rooms are set in a very generously-sized garden which contains a pool, and the gardens themselves offer seating for groups or for privacy. Breakfast - a very good breakfast - is offered in a separate building where one can meet one’s fellow guests around a communal table, and, while that prospect often arouses trepidation, don’t let it; we didn’t meet anyone unpleasant..... Our room was a delight. It (the Malbec room) is really a suite of bed/sitting/dressing/bath rooms, with great storage space, and blessed by the absence of television. Ask for it! TV is available within 50 metres if you like endless football... The area surrounding is a pleasure to be in. It is always alive (more so after 8pm), and is full of restaurants, bars, shops, and.... vineyards! “Service” doesn’t do justice to the quality of the care which one is afforded. The staff are exceptional, and seem to take a genuine interest in one’s well-being, activities and enjoyment. Their boss, the American owner Bruce, is a good man who spreads goodwill amongst his guests; although until our stay I thought only Australians were called “Bruce”.…
We had an amazing time at Casa De Coria , from the moment we stepped into this little oasis we felt welcomed and relaxed , Bruce is a great host and we loved chatting to him round the fire in an evening with a lovely glass of Argentinian Malbec 🍷Anni was also a lovely , warm girl who arranged various wine tastings for us in the region , The highlight was a bistro and tapas evening arrange by Bruce and the staff on our last night , fabulous , don’t hesitate book here if you are visiting Mendoza !
This was the best place we stayed during our holiday in Argentina. Chacra de Coria is the nicest neighbourhood in the Mendoza area, with loads of great shops, bars, restaurants and wineries. You can’t go wrong with this property, it has a prime location, lovely gardens to relax in and great staff. They will look after you here!
