great hostel to stay in if walking the camino. Beds were very comfortable and showers were perfect with towels supplied. Everything you need while doing the camino. Pilgrim dinner was excellent value with delicious wine although dinner was very basic! Food and drinks at bar is cheap and waitress is very good. Hair dryer in bedrooms also. Would stay here... After the hard walk from France we enjoyed this hotel like an oasis. There is not much else going on in Espinal on Saturday afternoon. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant meal for 18 euros was fantastic and made even better by our wonderful waitress (Gorka?). The woman who seems to run the place is also friendly and... More

It is the second time I stop there on two different Caminos. What I like about stopping in Espinal is that it is not a busy pilgrim stop; once again, there were very few people staying there even in July. It's also practical, with good showers and an easy-to-access washing machine and dryer. The only shame is that most albergues... More

The Hostal Rural Haizea is a very pleasant and neat hostel. The dormitories and the bathrooms were quite big and very clean. Just off the dormitories is a big and comfortable lounge and internet area. A cosy bar belongs to the hostel with nice service and decent meals (pilgrim menus as well). We would highly recommend it to any weary... More

I (stayed here in late March 2014, for three nights, while exploring the forests of the western Pyrenees. The room was clean and of high-quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As it was early in the season the restaurant wasn't open, but good food was served in the bar. I would definitely stay here again on a return... More

We stayed at the hostal at the end of August on our way through to France. I was showing my wife the route I had cycled on the Camino in May this year. Just down the road from Roncesvalle it's a great place to break a car journey, right on the Spanish border and perfect for cyclists or walkers after... More

I am currently staying at the Hostel Haizea in Espinal. I didn't want to stay in Roncesvalles as it seemed too crowded so continued cycling down the road and came and looked in this Hostel. I really would have preferred a single room but couldn't afford the rate so had a look at the dorm and was surprised at how... More

I stayed in Hostal Haizea for a night on the Camino de Santiago. The room I got was spacious, modern and very stylish. The service in the reception (a man just went from the bar to the reception and checked me in, and I used my credit card as a key...fancy) was very correct, friendly and professional. The Pilgrim´s menu... More

I stayed here last year with my mother and extended family. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and quite. From our room we had a wonderful view of the village of Espinal. The bar had great egg and ham bocadillos in the morning, coffee, and fresh orange juice. We ate one lunch in the restaurant part of the hotel and... More

I stayed at this hostal after forgetting to confirm my reservation at the hostal in Roncesvalles. It was a good quality rural hostal, very clean and a funky key system. The bar food available was gorgeous, perfect after a 6hour drive! Spanish omelette in amazingly soft, fresh bread. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a pyrenees stop off between... More
