We visited Hotel Mont Sant to attend the marriage of some friends. Gorgeous setting. Lovely pool. The food and wine were excellent both at the wedding and in the restaurant. The staff worked so hard the weekend we were there....their commitment was evident. The owner is lucky to have such a great team! A couple of tips- if you are... More

the problem with many 'boutique' hotels is that they are so consumed with being 'special' that they neglect the basics- such as a receptionist who stops her private conversation to notice you when you are standing around waiting to check in. And waiters who have actually been trained. Teamaking facilities without any milk is pointless. The food however is great.... More

A former monastery and palace converted into a small and picturesque hotel. Choose the cabana for a spacious room fully equiped (even with a small kitchen) and balcony with a view. Walk around the gardens, full of orange trees and flowers. Swim in the pool in the afternoon sun looking up to the walls of the moorish castle. Explore the... More

I've stayed in a lot of hotels. I'm actually in one right now. However, MontSant is one of the best I have ever stayed in. The location is flawless. Half way up a hill, Xativa castle overlooking the hotel and ground, in the open Spanish countryside. Hotel itself is perfect. Rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean, and very private. Staff are... It is unique to be perched mid mountain under a castle pranced by Hannibal and Scipio. Where Hannibal had a son by his Spanish wife. A place that at its feet is a well preserved old town that gave birth to the Borgia Popes and where the Roman Via Augusta was watched from. In this environment they have built a... More

I have to admit not being able to judge other rooms than our suite. We were charged for 190 Euro. We had a private swimming pool, two terraces, two bathrooms and a sitting room. The hotel was situated in a beautiful garden. The restaurant was quite good at reasonable prices. All in all a very reasonable price. On top I... More

Very beautiful surroundings, lots of noise at weekends for various celebrations but the food and space are excellent. Half way up the mountain to the the Castell. We have a small dog who had lots of space to explore. Would go every week if possible

I first discovered this gem 14 years ago whilst living in Spain. I returned last week for a 3 day break with my husband. We stayed in a log cabin which has been updated in a Skandi cool style ( apart from the bathroom ). The hotel is situated in the most beautiful surroundings with perfect views of the castle... More

Travelled through Spain and enjoyed the experience so much changed our plans and also stayed on the way back. Courtyard dining was a great experience. Our room in the old part of the hotel was full of character. Recommend Hotel to family who have also stayed and really enjoyed it.

We stayed at the hotel last April. When you first get to the hotel it looks stunning. There were people still having lunch so it was a great atmosphere when we arrived. However, while the reception, resataurant etc look amazing and very inviting... getting to the room was a bit of a disappointment. It really needs an update. Also, the... More
