We have just spent four perfect days at Craigengar to celebrate a birthday of note. Nine of us were staying at the lodge. Just after we arrived, the Queen’s Grocer called with enough food and wine to keep body and soul together for the duration. Then, on the BIG DAY, Russell Smith, Edinburgh’s premier private chef, arrived to feed us...

Made a flying visit as part of a friends landmark birthday celebrations. Whilst I didn't get a chance to see the surrounding area I was more than impressed with the accommodation. It really is a smashing place to visit and spend time with friends/family/colleagues Thumbs up from me!

We stayed in Steading cottage with some good friends and our babies (and dog) for a week late October. The cottage is beautiful with everything you could possibly need provided. With the little ones we knew we'd be spending a lot of time inside especially in the evening so hunted out a place that looked nice for dining and socialising...

We stayed at Craigengar for a week, but wished we could live there. The house is stunning, beautifully decorated and furnished. The beds are very comfortable, even for someone like me who has arthritis. G is the perfect host, lovely and friendly, answering any questions we had before our visit. She has thought of everything you could possibly need during...

Lovely house, we were made aware that it is located on a farm & it's practically in the barn!! But noise is at a minimum & it's lovely to be able to see so many calves in one place :) A little cluttered but that in itself became useful as there was nothing we couldn't find. In fact, my only...

We stayed at this property for a much needed family break. The immaculate cottage is furnished to an extremely high spec and everything that we could possibly have wanted/needed was provided. The extra little touches such as fresh flowers and fruit on arrival were also greatly appreciated. The hosts are extremely friendly and can't do enough for their visitors to...

This was my third visit to Crosswoodhill cottages. As always we had a wonderful stay. The cottage still looks brand new, very well kept and you are short of nothing; it really is like home from home. Geraldine always makes us feel very welcome and helps with anything she can. We were welcomed with tea and cake ready for us...

I have been meaning to write a review for months but have only now taken the time to do so. We organised a weekend in the Craigengar Lodge in May for my sister's hen do. We had looked for ages to find the perfect venue which we could spend most of the weekend in and would provide everything we needed...

Thank you , Stoneview, for your lovely surprise late review which has caught me out memory-wise. Normally I recognise the person writing the review and email them a personal note of thanks ( which explains the scarcity of my Management responses). But on this occasion I can't be sure my memory does not play me up to thank the wrong...
