Ongoing building work until January so avoid if you value peace and quiet Woefully understaffed and no help with luggage. Air-conditioning not working, so bedroom too hot, although receptionist suggested that we opened the window - not what you expect from a Parador.

Spent two nights here on the 6th and 7th of November whilst on a business trip in the area. Arrived on the Sunday evening and dealt with quickly and efficiently. Rooms large and comfortable. The bathroom facilities also good. The rooms attempt to be traditionally Spanish, I'm sure how successful this is. The big drawback is the wooden floors which... More

Stylish building and very pleasant reception. Close to town cafes and shops. Disappointed bar not open during day for drinks or snacks. Evening service in bar and restaurant very slow. Food good, when we got it! Wooden floors in rooms very creaky!

Hotel is centrally located in Calahorra and easy to find with good parking at the hotel. We were shown to our room by a very helpful and polite receptionist. However, the room stank of stale cigarette smoke. We made a comment and received only an apology. We promptly opened all the windows, but this did not get rid of the... More

Such a great parador. Never fails to impress. Great staff patient, kind and friendly. Clean and well appointed rooms. Only one downside is the creaking floorboards which meant loud neighbours keepimg us awake but thats what you need to accept to a certain degree when staying in this type or style of hotel. The restaurant and the food....wow...EXQUSITE! Restaurant staff... More

The key to staying at this Parador is that the staff look after you, very polite and spend time talking to you even when they are busy. I have used this hotel in the past and the standard has always been the same.

Only stayed here one night. Easy to find Parador in centre of town and of a fair size and generally comfortable. Quiet when we arrived but staff at reception very helpful and went out of their way to help when A/C in room not working. What everyone says about the creaky floors is true - thankfully we were on top... More

This was our third Parador on this trip and certainly the worst from our point of view. The building is not historic although there are plenty of creaky floorboards. The staff, as we have found in all of the group are exceptionally friendly and helpful but unfortunately the same can not be said for the quality and choice of food... More

From the outset it is right to say the location is good, the hotel in general is good and the rooms are very good. However it is difficult to put a finger on exactly what is missing, but perhaps it is a little more of the personal touch, and more staff or staff efficiency particularly in the dining room. Staff...
