Had a walk from Hill Top house and found this wonderful garden café (there are places inside if its raining!) Had coffee and cake recommend the coffee cake. Even had blankets supplied for those Lake District colder days.

Glad you had a lovely time in our garden, the blankets are sometimes necessary for those slightly chilly days.

Thankyou so much for your review, we do like to think that the garden is a bit of a haven away from the bustle of the village, I'm so glad you enjoyed it and hopefully you can come and stay with us in the future.

We have stayed with Ann and Steve a few times. They are fabulous hosts and so accomodating. Previously we have stayed as a couple with our dog and we have just been back with our 2 children aged 3 and 5. We had one side of the house to ourselves up a private staircase to our two adjacent rooms, away...

Having never stayed in a B&B before (usually hotels) we decided to stay for a couple of nights on the basis of the reviews that they get on here and the location (which is lovely). I have to say we thought it was great and Ann and Steve were very hospitable. The room was well equipped (with views onto Hill...

Very polite, a warm welcome. Gave us a few ideas of what we could do and where to visit. Shown around the breakfast and tv areas which have real fires. Looking out our window we could see Hill top farm where Beatrix Potter lived (the reason why we came). Breakfast was very nice had and English breakfast with toast and...

Stayed for 2 nights. Steve and Ann were wonderful hosts, the room was bright and spotless( had the room with a bath which was great after a days walk) and the breakfast is one of the best I've had any where!! £75 a night for 2 for that room and that breakfast, it's a no brainer, don't bother looking anywhere...

This was my second visit this year to Belle Green . A warm friendly welcome awaits you at Belle Green from the owners. This charming old farmhouse is full of character, set within its own garden with private off road parking. Many of the rooms have views of Hilltop , the home of Beatrice Potter. All rooms are tastefully decorated...

We came across Belle Green after visiting Beatrix Potter's home at Hill Top Farm and we were enticed in by the promise of gluten free cakes. We ended up having rarebit, crumpets, coffee and cake. It turned out to have the largest and most delicious gluten free selection of food we had come across during our entire holiday in the...

Just got back from Belle Green Bed and Breakfast and had a great stay! We were welcomed with a cup of tea and gorgeous piece of cake, which was very welcome after a long journey. We were shown to our lovely bright room overlooking the garden with a great sized bathroom. The bed was very comfortable which was great after...

Stayed at Belle Green for the night and had a wonderful stay, we asked for the possibility of an early breakfast due to swimming Coniston the following day and Ann was happy to oblige. The poached eggs and bacon were excellent fuel for the days effort! Would love to go back next year, and will probably stay for a couple...
