Myself & my wife came for a little honeymoon, this hotel is amazing.
The staff look after you, nothing is too much to ask, very helpful.
Special mention to Kosta, Irene and Sophia! -
The hotel is situated on a busy road, after a day or 2 the noise of the traffic fades away and doesn’t bother you! There’s not much path way on either side once you leave the hotel however you soon just get on with it and it becomes the norm, the hotel staff are more than happy to help book a taxi, which is fairly reasonable priced. €10 to the village of Pygros, €25 to Fira and €35-€40 euro to Oia.
The buses are cheap €1.60 however very crowded and hot at times.
Santo wines is about a 5 minute walk up from the hotel on the left hand side and it’s absolutely beautiful worth a visit!
The hotel staff look after the guest very well, beyond welcoming to the hotel and Sophia the cook goes out of her way daily! The food is lovley and you can get drinks round the pool, breakfast on a morning is help your self inside the little restaurant area and it’s fresh each morning. The cleanliness of the hotel is absolutely amazing, the most cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The maids come round each morning to your room and everything is fresh, towels, bedding, toiletries, and you get a big bottle of water each day.
There’s a good sized mini fridge in the room to store drinks/water. The AC in our room was massive and kept the room cool throughout, never had any issues with that.
Music is played during the day around the pool on low and it’s a bit of everything from Nora Jones to Coldplay to Joel corry!
The staff work extremely hard, especially in the heat, I would definitely return back to this hotel! It’s just the right size, not over crowded very relaxed atmosphere - lovley little break away.

We spend 4 nights here in a superior room facing the pool area. Very nice! Room was big and very clean. King size bed was most comfortable. Toilet, shower, etc very nice.

Breakfast is plentiful, and you order it the previous day and it will be delived into your terass / room.

Hotel staff is very polite and helpful ragarding all topics you might have.

I also arranged scooter rental via the hotel and it worked out very well. Also the ”semi-private” mini-bus service from and to the port was nicely arranged by the hotel.

Hotel location is central in the Santorini, so it is easy to move around with a scooter or car.

This is very nice hotel also when you take into account the cost to quality value. In some reviews there are issues with the road next to the hotel, but for us it was now issue. We slept well.

I recommend The Impressive One!

If you want a get away break, I highly recommend Impressive One Hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

Kosta & Irene on the reception desk was so helpful to us, especially on the first day when I fell over, they supplied me with plasters and a cream to apply to the wound.

Sophia works in the kitchen and makes the most delicious meals, I recommend you try something different on the menu each night. They also provide drinks which are reasonably priced. The staff who worked behind the scenes were exceptional, the rooms were cleaned everyday and towels and bedding changed.

Impressive One Hotel lives up to its name and I would definitely stay here again. It is next to a main road which is hard to be believe as it is so tranquil.

There are bus stops at the top of the road that will take you either into Perissa or Thira. If you go to Perissa, I recommend Dorians Bar as you can get a pint of beer for 3 euros - across the road from where you get off the bus. Drinks elsewhere may be a little more. There is also the black beach and restaurants and shops galore. If you decide to go to Thira, take a bus and when you disembark, walk 5 minutes up the street and then turn right, the town opens up to you, there are so many shops and beautiful scenery (highly recommended).

We walked to Pygros from the hotel and this was a 20 minute walk, I will suggest practical shoes if you are going to walk as there are a lot of steps to get to the top, but SO WORTH IT for the panoramic views.

Coming back to the hotel, there are only 16 rooms, it's not overcrowded, you can chill out around the pool and there will always be sun loungers available - the perfect place to be!

Lastly, if you are planning on going on excursions, book them through Irene & Kosta at the reception desk.

The hotel has ignored my emails. Expedia were not helpful at all. We booked the hotel in March 2021 expecting to travel in June 2021. Due to UK government restrictions and our flights being cancelled, the hotel refused to give us a refund and told us to rearrange for another date in 2021 even though I explained I am 5 months pregnant and cannot travel after June. Also I am a front line NHS worker and would not be able to self isolate for 10 days after the holiday as per government guideline travelling to an amber list country.

I'm really disappointed as I would have been happy to rearrange for next year as it appears to be a lovely hotel.

I would not recommend booking this hotel especially during uncertain times and also customer service appears non-existent.

Dear Kiran, thank you for sharing your experience. We have provided at least two rate plans with one being Fully flexible from the beginning of the pandemic. The non refundable option provides special rates and terms which are clearly communicated. Even in this case and in order to provide the necessary flexibility we allow a date change up to 3 days prior the arrival for the rest of 2021. We cannot move bookings to 2022. We are sorry that none of the above is convenient to you. Kind regards George Gyftopoulos Property Manager

We had two glorious weeks at the Impressive One in August 2020. This is a lovely hotel and is truly the impressive one. Small, personal, great staff and service. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location is just 1 km from the town Centre. You feel truly welcome at this hotel and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The staff had excellent knowledge of the Island and were always on hand to give you some advice or just call a taxi. The breakfasts were amazing, fresh fruit and juice and a wide range of other options. Something for everyone. My husband is vegan and the Chef cooked a vegan option every day for lunch. The hotel is exceptionally clean and comfortable. Having been to Santorini twice before and holidaying during the Corona virus pandemic, we decided to have two very lazy weeks and we were completely spoilt by the staff. So much so we will be returning in September 2021 and we can’t wait! A special mention to the Hotel Manager George and his Front Office Assistant Nektaria who were both front of house. We loved the impressive one! 👍😍

We stayed here for 7 nights and couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Whilst some people have said there isn’t much nearby, we found it the perfect location. The village of Pyrgos itself is a 15/20 minute walk away and doesn’t have the huge crowds of the popular locations of Fira and Oia but still offers the picturesque views along with many lovely restaurants. There is also a supermarket a short walk away from the hotel. As Pyrgos itself is located central to the island we were able to get to places quickly with Fira being only a ten minute journey and Oia about 25. The airport was also only ten minutes away. Taxis were a fixed rate and were easy to get. Sometimes expensive but it’s what we expected. If you don’t want to get taxis there is also a bus stop nearby. We would definitely stay in Pyrgos if we were to come back and would also stay at impressive one again.

The rooms were lovely, spacious and comfortable. We did have some noise issues due to the cash and carry delivery at 4am on two of the mornings (which is out of the hotels control) but when we mentioned this to staff, they moved us to a new room promptly where we had a great nights sleep the rest of the holiday.
The bed was extremely comfortable, bathroom was big, with a large walk in shower. The room also had air con which was great, as well as a mini fridge which was perfect. Each room had a patio area outside or a balcony. Whilst the hotel is next to a busy main road, we never noticed the noise from the road, even when relaxing by the pool.

The pool area was always quite quiet and sun loungers were always available at any point in the day. Could also order drinks to be brought over to the pool area. Being a small hotel, it was just perfect for us as it was never too busy. The restaurant area also always had tables available and the food was incredible. Sofia, the chef, was ever so friendly and her food was always amazing. The best hotel food we have ever had.

The breakfast was continental and had good choices.

Staff were ever so friendly and accommodating. They ordered takeaways for us, as well as taxis and were knowledgeable of the island providing us with recommendations during our stay.

Overall an absolute amazing stay. We would recommend this hotel and would stop here again.

Lovely Hotel! The staff are friendly and helpful, we forgot our adapter and they lent us one! Beds so comfy and rooms really clean, could not be faulted. Staff helped us rent a quad 45 euros per day (high season) which was needed as the hotel isn't close to much, although there is a supermarket about 5 minute walk away. Pool was lush and you could tell it had been cleaned / topped up regularly. We would stay again if we came back to Santorini!

Hotel was a little out of the way but everywhere was accessible by taxi, the rooms were quite spacious with free air conditioning, fridge, safe and also included an iron and ironing board. Ireni at reception was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Sophia was a fantastic chef. All in all a great little place to stay with only 16 rooms so no overcrowding. Would stay again. Ohh I almost forgot there are not many footpaths outside of the hotel so please be alert when out and about.

We have just got back from a week's stay at this hotel and it is honestly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We upgraded to a junior suite with sea view and it was well worth the money. Our terrace was huge with beautiful views.
You could choose to have your breakfast delivered to your terrace which we did every morning. The breakfast was delicious and very fresh with lots of choice. We had lunch there a couple of times aswell and it was delicious with again a decent amount of choice.
The hotel isn't in the thick of it which we prefer as it meant we explored a bit more. There's a fantastic winery/restaurant within a 5 minute walk with the most amazing sunset views. Plenty of other restaurants within about a 15/20 minute walk.
The service at the hotel was very personal and was probably the best service we've ever received at a hotel. Would also recommend doing one of the sunset cruises. It was a fantastic experience.
The hotel was exceptionally clean and staff had face masks on at all times.

A special and huge thankyou to George and the lady (who's name we unfortunately never got). Nothing was ever too much trouble and they checked in with us every day to make sure everything was ok. Honestly can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

Just an Ok hotel. This not a luxury hotel. Minimal is an understatement. AC units were outdated, the room felt like sauna during the day and cool down at night. Customers complaint about air conditioning not working was never addressed by management. The hotel had limited staff who multitask as front desk, chef, and cleaning. Pool closes at 8pm and staff go home at 11pm.

Dear royaltraveler, thank you for sharing your feedback. We provide adequate information through our website and booking partners about the hotel, that correspond to reality, so a guest can make an informed booking decision. We are sorry that through your stay and while on a heatwave an essential unit of our cooling systems broke down. The hotel did all to replace it and restore operation within a day. The pool closes at 20.00 for safety reasons. We operate a small hotel that accommodates a limited number of guests. We do our best to cater for our guests needs including food and beverage, guests only. The Staff positions are distinct, however in a small hotel with less work load the staff is professional enough to cover each other if and when needed. Kind regards

Hello, thank you for contacting us. Pyrgos traditional village is about 1,2 km away. You can ask the coffee shop or restaurant that you may visit to call a taxi. You can also contact us to send one to pick you up. Average waiting time 10-12 min. There is no taxi station there. Best regards Impressive One

The beach was about a 10-15 minute bus ride but the wait time for the buses isn't great! For the car hire you can go into Fira which is only about 3 miles from the hotel, you can do this by bus but it's quicker by cab. The hotel were great with helping us order cabs or any car hire info x

Hi you can walk into Pyrgos but it's mainly road walking so a bit dodgy at night! We had to taxi everywhere the only other place to walk to is a vineyard just up the road which was very nice but no local bars. The beaches are all a taxi or bus ride, it's a gorgeous hotel but be prepared to travel to most places by car.
