We had booked a honeymoon suite and were immediately schocked when we were taken to our room. The suite was nothing at all like the description and pictures at the internet site. Very dark, dirty (stained pillows and poufs "because the guests put their suitcases...More
This hotel is so strange - spread out laterally across part of the hill in Pyrgos - but it grew on me enormously. I was in Santorini to catch a flight (literally), and I ended up staying here for three days. While I am not...More
We stayed here in August 2017, and being our first holiday in 20 years without the children it was a real treat. The hotel organised airport transfers for us, along with luggage collection, car hire and a boat trip. They couldn't do enough for us....More
Pos.: Beautiful main building, spacious and clean rooms (some are in the main building, some in surrounding cave dwellings), great location in Pyrgos, beautiful views of the island, friendly staff.
Neg.: Communication via e-mail is sometimes ignored. Better to communicate via telephone.

No! There are no roads by the hotel and the only way is to walk up the path/stairs from the village square where there is parking nearby. There is a donkey to take your luggage though :-). Also the rooms are up and down steep paths/stairs fron Reception. This is a really lovely hotel but might not be right for someone who can't walk easily.

Some of the best restaurants on the island are within a short walking distance, see my review for recommendations. I paid €40 to hire a car for 24 hrs which is a must to make the most of your stay. The hotel were happy to arrange this but the car hire agency, Pyrgos Rent a Car, is also within walking distance.
The wifi signal is available throughout the hotel, including by the pool, but is only adequate for basic browsing and social media due to the limited bandwidth.
