This place was amazing and more amazing then the place were the people who were running it. The receptionist nearly spent an hour with us almost every day, just talking to us and filling us in with the history and details of not just the...More
The village of Pyrgos is wonderful, full of winding alleys and restaurants aplenty and a few shops (very expensive for touristy mass production goods) the hotel is at the top of the village about a ten minute moderately hill walk from where the transport drops...More
Upon arriving the hotel our cab driver asked if we had arranged for our luggage to be picked up by the hotel. Hmmm, no. We did not realize that the hotel was up a very steep hill and that we could have arranged for the...More

No! There are no roads by the hotel and the only way is to walk up the path/stairs from the village square where there is parking nearby. There is a donkey to take your luggage though :-). Also the rooms are up and down steep paths/stairs fron Reception. This is a really lovely hotel but might not be right for someone who can't walk easily.

Some of the best restaurants on the island are within a short walking distance, see my review for recommendations. I paid €40 to hire a car for 24 hrs which is a must to make the most of your stay. The hotel were happy to arrange this but the car hire agency, Pyrgos Rent a Car, is also within walking distance.
The wifi signal is available throughout the hotel, including by the pool, but is only adequate for basic browsing and social media due to the limited bandwidth.
