Owned by the Antinori family, and located close to some of the best vineyards in the world! Beautiful and stunning surroundings. Staff were super friendly and polite and catered to our needs. The room was tastefully decorated and great views. However, there were two minor issues - 1) the shower leaked (poorly designed door and installation) and 2) the air conditioning was next to useless, making the nights uncomfortably hot! Make sure you bring enough mosquito repellent - we got bitten endlessly. Please see the separate review of the hotel restaurant.
We have been super happy to stay in the fonte de Medici hotel. Not only the place is beautiful and has an extremely rich culture around, but view from the hotel overseeing the vineyards is simply astonishing. The restaurant is delicious, it varies every days with some special dishes to try - congratulations I the chef. The biggest appreciation of our stay is the staff from the whole organisation, rooms, reception and restaurants they have been so nice and extremely attentive to our every need. The rooms are very personalised and gives you a strong feeling of home, also they are super practical with a small kitchen. Once again one of our best spot ever! Thank you so much to the team our stay was perfect!!!!
Near Chianti Valley, one of the best place to stay during a couple of day in Tuscany. Service and location are beautiful and also the resturant is good. The pool is amazing to brake the hot day and the rooms are very kind.
My wife and I stayed here for our 25th anniversary. This place is an incredible experience. The rooms are very spacious with kitchenettes and the most comfortable beds. The breakfasts were delicious with local produce and baked goods. The restaurant was top notch with an impressive wine list and menu. The well manicured grounds and pool were well appreciated in the Tuscan sun. The entire staff is extremely helpful, professional and friendly. I really felt like I was a family member visiting my Italian cousins during this stay. Highlight of the stay was our private cooking with Chef Duccio. One of the nicest people I have met anywhere. He was eager to share his knowledge with us and his passion for food is infectious. We highly recommend making the cooking class part of your stay. We are definitely going back, we just need to book it!…
Stayed here as a base for touring the region. Wine themed rooms were well decorated, clean and especially comfortable. Bistro on site made breakfast very convenient. If you like biking, some excellent roads throughout the wine region
