during the last couple of days of our say we had the privilege to share the camping with a lot of dogs; there was a sort of dog show in the weekend in the whole camping there was a very disturbing smell of dog urine and we had to watch our step for avoiding dogs' droppings, not to mention the continous barking

+ Campsite looks good with nice seperated spots and lots of shade. Cars have to park on a free carpark next to campsite, which gives the campsite a nice relaxed atmosphere. Shop is properly stocked, good bread variation. Pool is medium sized and nicely maintained. Amenities basic but clean. Free hot water. Dogs allowed. Very nice fish pond and good looking entertainment area next to campsite with a very thoughtful soundreducing wall seperating it from the campsite. Friendly staff, speak english. Free wifi. Nice beach (with special dog section) at walking distance. - Very loud neighbouring campsite. But mostly, the rating went down because of youthful staff that arrived when high season started: played loud (trance/house)music poolside with families and small kids in the pool. Immature lifeguard was too busy with constantly switching songs to properly watch the pool. No correction from other staf.

We stayed in the campsite in June and returned in August. Camper pitches adequate but lack maneuverability for larger vehicles. Beware of ants as the whole site is crawling with them. Rules in place for quiet time are not enforced neither those applying to the pool regarding ball games and diving....the attendant seems to find smartphone activities more important than guest safety or enjoyment. On the whole a positive experience, though.

Reception basic other than wanting to upgrade us to a camping pitch with private toilet & shower plus cooking facilities, no other local, site, or tourist information was not forthcoming. We looked at the suggested pitch and the normal facilities and decided to stay on the ACSI tariff as the shower block looked perfectly ok and clean. We were able to choose our own pitch. This is quite a nice camp site with a really nice Pool. We did not taste the food in the restaurant but all looked nice and clean (a little quiet as it was late in the season) While we stayed there it was very hot with a southerly wind and the mosquitos were aggressive, so much so that sitting and eating outside daytime or evening was no longer a pleasure. There is a fishing lake on site and people who claimed to come here year after year did say the mozzies were biting more then usual, suggest jungle strength protection right from the start. Ants were also a problem. Sadly the reception also omitted to tell us that the boiler was broken and there was no hot water! the overflow showers were cold also and not exactly clean. we complained and were given a key to one of the unused private showers!! we held on to that during our stay. Walk to the long beach via a pine forest. Good cycling all around the 3 to 4 campsites around us. This site was different to what we normally choose but thought we would have a change from site seeing etc. In our own rating system we only gave this 4/10 Location / lack of information by reception and no hot water letting this down

Just leaving this little paradise where I spent a week with my auntie and her beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog. I'm Italian but writing in English to push foreigners to visit the place: there is something for everyone, beautiful sea and shadows where to snooze for lazy people like me but also lots of opportunities for running and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Tuscany is the perfect place for good food and even without going too far the restaurant in the village offers lots of options at very good prices. Try the gnocchetti with Gorgonzola and sausages or for fish lovers the caciucco will make you feel in heaven! People are very friendly and you can experience the true Italian spirit. Last but not least dogs are very welcome and the bau beach is great! I can't fault anything. Hope to see you there next year!
