Stayed here for one night and ate in the restaurant. Lovely setting with pretty views on all sides of the hotel. The rooms are ok, however some are in need of modernisation/updating. Mine had a modern bathroom which was nice. My friend's room had a basic old fashioned bathroom though ( for a slightly cheaper rate). The grounds need some...

Stayed at this hotel for DBB for two days whilst visiting the Brecon Beacons. The room was comfortable, the food prepared to a high standard and the staff friendly and attentive. The hotel is reached via a Lay-bye, so the entrance you might say is concealed, so thank goodness they have a sign. There is a derelict house at the...

Wanted to book an afternoon tea in the same place we got married a few years back Booking was easy. Although I asked for certain sandwiches due to allergies and dislikes and although was assured the 'chef' could cater, he didn't. Upon arrival Caradogs restaurant was pretty empty, it was laid out beautifully though so it was quite pleasing. We...

This is a stunning location and really friendly caring staff. Great start! We were there for a family evening for a 60th birthday. It was an Italian theme night, the starters were fab. Lots of meats, olives, buffalo mozzarella etc... The main was a buffet, with beef calanoni, chicken lasagna, and meatballs. All very nice and and everyone enjoyed. However...

Stayed here for a weekend visiting family and attending a party in nearby Cwmbach. The Hotel is beautiful with lovely large rooms and grounds. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided and staff will happily oblige if you need more tea, coffee etc. The breakfast was a good selection of cereal, cooked, fresh fruit, yoghurt and toast, with the...

I bought my parents an afternoon tea as a gift for a special occasion. My mum rung to book the table and to advise she can no longer eat bread. The staff member advised wraps could be served as an alternative to the finger sandwiches no problem. On arrival for their afternoon Tea appointment, my parents were not seated at...

We had prebooked a table for our large party which was ready for us promptly at the time we had requested. Then the waiting began! Slow service on all counts... we waited to order drinks, to be brought menus, to order.... The starters, which are boring easy to prepare ahead offerings, were very average... I had pate with two tiny...
