Just had a couple of days break at this wonderful small hotel. My only complaint was I couldn't stay any longer. The grounds were so peaceful full of a variety of different birds. The breakfast was wonderful, the fresh fruit salad was ladened with so many different types of fruit. The lunch time food was excellent. The staff very helpful... More

We are driving back to Cardiff from North wales and wanted to stop half way on the A470. This place isn't cheap - we paid £135 for the night - but we were upgraded to a lovely suite in the old house. The staff are warm and lovely and the food in the restaurant was good (but not amazing). What... More

I have now stayed here 4 times whilst on business in the area and the hotel is absolutely superb. Fantastic comfortable well equipped rooms with a bar and restaurant area that is a good place to relax with a beer catching up on the day. Complimented by an excellent team of staff I would always stay here when in the... More

4 classic sports cars and 4 couples had a great few days at this lovely, very old, quaint hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was excellent, the rooms all different but good enough.

The stay at Maesmawr was promising upon arrival, beautiful garden and scenery however £80 per night (I'm staying for two nights) for a grim and dirty box room in the courtyard wasn't even laughable. This included the cooked breakfast which was actually fantastic however still together not worth anywhere near £80 per night. Never the less I put up with... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback after your recent stay. As you know you have had a conversation with my General Manager and that she did apologise unreservedly that you found one of the small UHT milk jiggers to be out of date, It certainly is not our standard but unfortunately mistakes do happen and we can only try... This is my third visit to Maesmawr Hall, we received our usual warm welcome! The room was quirky with a modern bathroom. The hotel is always clean, comfortable and the food is to die for; I had the beef for dinner this time and it was melt in your mouth and breakfast sets you up for the day. Nothing is... More

We have been regular visitors to Maesmawr over the past 40 years and have seen it through its ups and downs. The current owners definitely have it on an 'up' again. A warm, professional welcome and everything ready for us. Well appointed rooms, ours had a lovely view across the meadows. Dinner was excellent with attentive and friendly staff. We... More

Have arrived to a hotel under 'refurbishment'...I wish the owners had been more honest when I was making my reservation that this may impact on my stay. Having booked a room in the main hotel, I was shown to a tiny, dark, shabby room in the 'Coachhouse' in the car park. At £80 per room per night, this room is... More
