WOW not any other word I can say!, Food was amazing, fresh and presented 100% perfect. Staff are so friendly and welcoming that we stayed longer after our meal to chat, we have been staying locally at a log cabin and found this pub/restaurant so lovely that we have eaten and drank there most nights. You have to go to... More

Pubs open at lunch time on a Monday and serving food seems to be a problem in Mid Wales. Happened upon the Unicorn and found it was serving until 3pm. Reverend James was the only real ale on offer, but it was most enjoyable. The lunch menu was limited but the lasagne and ploughmans were appreciated. We were grateful to... More

Arrived with family and was given a warm and friendly welcome. The dining room was well laid out, very clean and brightly lit. Our table was in a corner which was lovely, we were given the menus promptly but had to wait a little time for our order to be taken. They were busy and we did have to wait... More

I ate here with friends and found the staff friendly and helpful, the food quite good, certainly generous portions and very good value and there was a real ale available. For me the biggest downside to this place is the total lack of ambiences . The bar is just not somewhere I would want to sit with friends and enjoy... More

My partner & I first called in on a Friday afternoon at about 2:30pm. They were still doing food, so we were quite pleased, especially as there was plenty of room to park our 7m motorhome in their car park. We had a lovely meal, and it was nice to see that the tables had real white cloths on them.... More

We didn't stay overnight but we had very nice family evening meal in early August. We all had different dishes and they were all excellent. Also has real ale served behind the bar. I can recommend the Unicorn.

My wife and I visited for a wedding anniversary meal. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and helpful. There was an excellent choice on the menu as well as a specials board. We both had steaks which were cooked just as we wanted them. The bottle of wine we had was very reasonable, not the inflated prices you are... More

I took my family to the Unicorn for an evening meal. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food is lovely there was plenty for everyone. With a good selection on the menu. At a very reasonable price. Outside there is plenty of seating and a bouncy castle for my three children to play on. Would highly recommend.

It's a shame to give this place an average review, as its also local to us, but I also have to be honest. So hopefully I can be constructively critical. My Mum and Dad wanted to take the family out for a meal on the bank holiday Monday, so she decided to try the recently re-opened Unicorn. She rang to... More
