It's a bit of a shame about this place, coz it's a typical "pub" atmosphere, nice and cosy and even though the rooms are basic, they are comfortable. Though if you are looking for a good night's sleep, you're not going to get it. There is a nightclub down the road and the music goes on until about 2/3am........so you...

A good place to go for a drink and a chat with the great bar staff. But unfortunately they really let themselves down with the hotel rooms the last time my clients stayed there. I've had people stay there before and although you know it's not going to be the ritz, it was acceptable and the atmosphere and people in...

Room was clean but had a strong smell of smoke, Staff were very friendly and accommodating . No breakfast and only had a coffee machine on the landing, which was the noisiest I've ever heard. It just happened to be Tredfest when we were there which was the only good thing about the place.

Booked for the week - only stayed one night!!! but only stayed because I couldn't find anywhere else at late notice!!! It stinks of damp and mold and paint peeling off the walls. Door locks barely work and the doors aren't exactly secure. Curtains aren't blackout curtains so woke up at 4.30am as the room was in full daylight!! With...

The only good thing was that the bed linen was clean. No windows only skylight, which you could not open. The rooms smelt musty. Black mold in the bathroom around the bath, glass shelf above the sink hanging off. Mirror in the bedroom was broken. Could not get out quick enough and would not stay again.

I and my family booked 2 rooms at a cost of £115, This did not include heat let alone breakfast. the one thing you can guarantee is a sleepless night, in the family room, due the constant drone of the bathroom extractor fan being stuck on. This unfortunately sucked out any heat that was generated by the tiny electric fire....

“the heading for this says add a tip for travellers to choose so here is mine just don't even think about going here the place is really awful (the bad side of crap) the decor is all artificial and the place looks dirty, tea making facilities are on the landing ( if it has enough water). the rooms are fairly sub bog standard and don't even think about breakfast before 9-15 or when he has taken his kids to school but that is the only thing going for it. The bar is open on Mon night for karaoke until 11.30 pm but Tuesday it closes about 10 as there is no one about( they must all be in the Castle or Wetherspoons just down the hill which is where this hotel is situated "DOWN THE HILL" KEEP WELL AWAY FROM HERE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!”
