Combined a work trip with a mini-break for a relative. Tried to secure accomodation here but such is its new deserved popularity I couldn't stay. A lunch visit was all that was possible. Since visiting in 2014 the back Bar has been substantially, tastefully and intelligently renovated. It is now a pleasant place to sit and dine. Bar menu has... More

Since I lasted visited the Aultbea Hotel I have been diagnosed with coeliac disease and I was bit concerned about my diet over a 6 day stay. Robin and Ballal could not have done a better job for me, my meals were slightly tweaked to make them gluten free or individually cooked to avoid contamination. Gluten free bread and oatcakes... This hotel is in a beautiful location and the staff and owners are friendly. The food is nice and they have one local ale (no good lager) this place is great to escape the stresses off normal life for a short break nice for walking and taking in the excellent views. The visiting sailor's did get a bit too roudy... More

We arrived quite late to a smiling greeting and although the kitchen was closed (we had picked up takeout) drinks were offered and my husband had the best local beer of the trip. The hotel has been totally updated since the new owners took over. Their decor with a nod towards elegance is pitch perfect here. The bar with pool... More

Amazing weekend. Warm welcome. Very comfortable. Excellent food. Can't wait to return. Room 10 is very popular. Robin and Ballal are the perfect hosts. Spectacular views. The log burning stove in the bar was perfect to sit next to after a walk in the cold November afternoon.

5 nights in mid-late October, 2015. What a lovely place for such a small town. The locals told me that the hotel has been greatly improved in the last two years since Robin and his partner Ballel took over. It is right on the bay and has a nautical history. There are pictures of Royal Navy ships on the wall... More

I believe this hotel has undergone a major refurbishment in the last 18 months. The setting on Loch Ewe is beautiful and now the interior has been restored and very tastfully decorated to a high standard. It was a wild and windy night but the large double glazed windows and roaring fires made for a warm and cosy atmosphere indoors.... More

I had a 2 night stay in mid-October. Lovely room with great bed. Nice view of Loch Ewe. Good food in the evenings (seafood particularly). Friendly and helpful staff. Great location on the shoreside. Rooms nicely (and freshly) decorated. Shower in my room was rather weak but certainly adequate (Room 2)

Didn't really know what to expect when we arrived at the hotel. It looks not very inviting from outside. But what a surprise! The bar is very cosy and the restaurant offers a very good and tasty selection of food. Our room was very spacious and clean with a beautiful view over the bay.

Our room was excellent. The evening meal was excellent. The lounge was very comfortable. We were extremely pleased we found this hotel as it was probably the best all-round hotel experience of our trip.
