The hotel is in a great location, with lovely countryside views. Our room was very nice, with modern décor, comfortable beds, a kettle, an electric fan, an extra heater, a hairdryer, and plenty of storage. The shower room was also nicely done, with large, soft towels. We liked the fact that you could collect a carafe of chilled water from the bar, to bring to the room. Breakfast was a continental buffet, with hot food cooked freshly to order, and was good. The outside of the hotel was well equipped with tables and chairs to sit at, and plenty of free parking. Mostly the reception staff were very nice, with the exception of the rather sour lady who checked us in. The other things that could be improved are that the wi-fi did not work in the room, and the shower only had very hot water (the cold feed in was not working, which was reported)

I don't want to gush, as then the secret's out - but this has just about everything good that a hotel should be. From the dog friendly Welcome pack, through Reception and the Bar, everyone smiles and goes out of their way to be helpful. Bed extremely comfortable, plenty of room for the dogs, a secure field for exercise (but mind the electric fence - ours did, after the first encounter!) and much to see and do, although there are enough lounges to sit and relax. OK, we had wonderful weather, even if the breeze was strong enough to blow drinks over in the garden. Food was delicious and their chef is very creative with food combinations that work and complement the dish. We want to come back!

This is our second stay at the Hotel. Wonderful hotel and gardens. Short walk to the nearby village and a little further to the sea front. The room was large clean and the shower certainly had a lot of power! Nice touch with the complimentary tea / coffee / shampoo and shower gel . The bed was comfortable. Despite this hotel allowing dogs , which would normally put me off as i have a pet hair allergy - I wasn't troubled at all by it. I did however request a dog free room. Nice friendly staff who were genuinely interested in you. We will return !

We stayed here on a short break this last week & it was lovely. The room, a family one with a double & single bed, was spacious with plenty of cupboard & drawer space & the beds & pillows were so comfortable. We found we had a shower rather than the bath we'd hoped for but it was huge & very effective with plenty of very hot water & quite powerful too. Also plenty of fluffy white towels as well. Staff were very friendly & welcoming & nothing seemed too much trouble & when we asked for the heating to be turned down in our bathroom it was done by the time we returned to our room. The only downside perhaps was the noise late on both evenings when we were trying to settle down to sleep. We couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from, perhaps next door or above, not quite sure, but it wasn't something we felt the hotel staff could do anything about, Just one of those things really & not the fault of the hotel. If I had to say one thing I missed from our hotel room it would be a small fridge, the type used for mini bars. It us something we we find invaluable when waking at night & wanting a chilled drink & so many hotels offer this in room now but perhaps something for the future here. For my husband, it would undoubtedly be better wifi as he found it to be a bit "slow & intermittent" for his liking but neither of these points were critical to our enjoyment. Thank you for having us to stay & we hope to return again.
