I have stayed in some nice hotels in my time and not just the 5 star, all inclusive ones that aren't really five star. As an example my favourite hotel is currently the Forbury in Reading and that is a nice 5 star hotel. I therefore fail to understand why this is not one. I will now give you a... More

Tylney Hall is certainly all it shows on the postcard perfect images, its a grand old hall with very beautiful and extensive gardens, which are excellent for strolling or sitting and looking. There is some depth with lovely hidden orchards and small lakes. The hall is very grand and charming but as wilth all these halls they need a lot... More

I've been fortunate to visit this superb hotel on three occasions inc Using a weekend break and Sunday lunch. The location, service and food are just great if you want something special. The Sunday lunch was very good ,the roast beef is to die for. Drinks are expensive but the whole experience makes it acceptable

Have been to Tylney Hall on previous occasions for dinners, afternoon tea etc, but was slightly disappointed this time. The staff seem to lack training and management. The food was good although the vegetables lacked inspiration, e.g. carrots, beans and broccoli. Cheese was supposed to be a cheese trolley, but actually turned out to be a very limited choice and... We visited on the 23rd September for afternoon tea. This was my mothers treat as it was my birthday on Saturday 24th. She booked this 'treat' two weeks ago and we were both very much looking forward to it. We arrived early to have a look around the grounds, which are beautiful, you can't fault the setting, our problems started... More

Stayed here mid week with work. We had drinks followed by dinner followed by more drinks. The location is lovely and we had pre drinks on the terrace. The meal itself was surprisingly good given the number of people being catered for. The service was good too. The rooms were spacious although a little dated

This was a treat as it was our anniversary. We had been to the fat duck in bray, so far the afternoon had been pretty amazing, then realised we was spending the night here instead of driving home. First of all as you drive up to this place it looks pretty amazing, the staff were friendly and as our anniversary... More

When we first arrived we were upgraded to a junior suite which was very kind of Tylney hall however this was quite a way from the main house and a journey I did not want to walk when it was dark. The smell of the room was overwhelming from the moment we walked in, very musty, and I'm sorry to... More

It seems like you are living in a fairytale when you enter the grounds of Tylney Hall. You suddenly get transported to the environs of HBO's Downton Abbey (which is actually situated just an hour away from here) when you come to Tylney Hall. The luxury hotel has retained its charm and history seeps through its walls. Its rooms are... More
