If you are looking for a cheap eat then this is not for you. You might think that it is quite expensive for a coffee and a cake but the standard and presentation of the food shows why it is not just a cafe style but something with a lot more pizzazz, and after all it is no dearer than... More

Went with my friend for a catch up. The food lovely the cakes were the best but they need to give you more sandwiches you only get to choose one each. I mean you choose either ham, egg, cheese so we picked ham and egg which was lovely but only getting 4 very small sandwiches each so I would recommend that they... More

9th July 2016 will always be remembered for 2 things for us.... 1. the day we got married and 2. the best day in the perfect place. From the word go, we were treated like royalty... nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere of the guest house and conservatory on an ordinary day is homely, inviting and intimate... the tea... My lovely friend and I had afternoon tea today , we both thoroughly enjoyed it . There's a good choice of sandwich fillings, I had prawn and my friend had Brie and cranberry sauce, the cakes were ginger, chocolate, and small meringue and scone with jam and cream all excellent, our favourite was the ginger. The waitress was very nice... More

Visited Peel Hey in April. What an absolute gem of a place. Elena the Manageress and her team looked after me and my elderly parents with super attention. Nothing was too much trouble. We had panini and salad. Paninis were stuffed with filling of the freshest ingredients and we took some home beautifully put in a box. We sat in... More

Nice enough place but a bit pricey for what you get, we had the "deluxe" room, which turned out to be very small, standard sized double, no bath and the smallest TV ever! I would`nt have liked to have stopped in the standard room. Staff were very helpful and if your not facing the main road you should get a... More

We recently visited Peel Hey for afternoon tea after it was recommended by family and was not disappointed. We opted for the £13.50 pp afternoon tea. There was a good choice of filling but we went for the Coronation chicken sandwiches with a selection of cakes, tea and coffee. The sandwiches were filling enough, but I could not resist the... Treated my mother to afternoon tea at Peel Hey. It was alright....... Not wonderful. Staff are lovely. The young girl that served was really good. I wish I had got her name. To mention her here. Food was a bit mixed . Sandwiches were served on boring sliced bread. A shame because the fillings were very good. We then had... More

I have been to peel hey many times and always found it pleasant :) for Mother's Day 4 of us decided to go for afternoon tea, my mum and auntie choosing Sunday roast. For drinks two of us ordered lime and soda, the staff gave us a glass of water each and explained someone would be coming back with the... More

We needed a ground floor room with walk-in shower & large bed for my elderly parents and luckily Peel Hey had exactly that! We were delayed in dreadful traffic on the way there but Elena was very helpful over the phone, even texting when mobile reception was too poor to talk. She waited until we arrived to make sure we...
