Stayed two nights with my wife. The room was small and very clean. Breakfast up to standard. Evening meal excellent with local sourced produce. Very good menu choices. Dining room had a very good ambience. The owner, who was very pleasant, is on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly. All the staff were very pleasant and efficient. A place to... More

This hotel is situated in lovely countryside and ideal place to explore Cornwall. The beds are really comfortable and the rooms very clean with good amenities. On arrival there was no welcome at all which surprised us - we put it down to the receptionist being very stressed. With her back to us we were told to “wait a moment”,... More

Your car broke down on the A30, and on arrival you apeared stressed, quite understandably. During phone calls to the hotel to update us, you kept calling me Alison which was ok. On arrival Cheryl was taking a reservation on the computer which needs to be completed. We have 2 lounges not cramped areas (these can be seen on our... More

Lovely staff, friendly and obliging, great food and drink and a lovely quiet nights sleep. I am always treated well here never any issues and always get an excellent deal. Handily placed for me to break my journey ten minutes or so off of the A30 near Bodmin and well placed for the coasts 25 mins to Padstow and 45... More

House position is excellent, amenities good. The pool was not open. The attached restaurant was interesting. We were treated like boarding school children and made to sit and wait till chef was ready to make our order. Made to order pre dinner drinks without a wine list. There were 4 couples waiting and although we had booked our table for... More

Great stay! We were greeted by friendly staff, our rooms were fabulous and clean with nice hot showers. We celebrated my brothers 23rd birthday there and the staff helped out so much we can't thank them enough. Breakfast was delicious alongside the scrumptious Cornish tea. Definitely recommend and would go back, thank you so much!

Lovely hotel, staff were really helpful and breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from and cooked to order. We stayed in the Courtroom which was clean, comfy and spacious - lovely room. The Restaurant was disappointing, the food was overcooked and overpriced. We have eaten in numerous venues of different scales and this was the first time we have felt... More

We were recommended to this hotel and were more than pleased we took up the recommendation. We have passed the recommendation on and the subsequent guests are as much impressed as we were. Dogs made welcome. The food is wonderful, breakfast and evening meals both. We were very impressed that products are sourced locally and were of top quality, asparagus... More

We stayed for one night in the main building and came away with that “it’s OK, but we probably wouldn’t stay there again” feeling. The welcome was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was rather too hot to be comfortable and having left the window open we were awakened very early by the noise from commuter traffic on the main... More

Stayed here for two nights. When I booked it I thought I would be in the lovely building where the restaurant was, however was lead to the ' Coach House' where I was rather quickly shown in and then the ( I think owner ), rushed away. I had to call him back to ask when breakfast was. It was... More
