Myself & hubby stayed here for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. Fantastic hotel nestled away in a small but divine harbour, peaceful, relaxing and full of charm. Room was bright and clean. Staff were attentive and knowledgable of area. There was 1 pub in the area which was small but had a seating area outside too, enjoyed visiting this too.... More

Stayed here for one night while walking coast path. Harbourside location could not be better. Enjoyed drinks on the terrace. Chose the pub down the road for diner so can't comment on that, but breakfast service was slow and staff looked confused. Manager was very helpful though. We had a room outside the main building that was small and looking... More

What a wonderful stay we had at this delightful hotel tucked away at the waters edge in Portloe, lovely well appointed rooms with good size bathrooms, it was a true find!! Great restaurant with terrific cuisine and wine list, warm attentive staff. We did some coastal walking, partook of and odd gin and tonic in the sunshine on the deck,... More

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Our room was small but ample and the en suite was supplied with good quality toiletries. The hotel is in the most wonderful setting next to the small beach and the dining room and terrace look out over the sea, as do some of the rooms (103 had full length windows and was... More

We had a very nice, spacious, bright and airy, well equipped room with a perfect view (from both the bedroom and the bathroom) overlooking the tiny harbour of Portloe. We'd make our in-room coffee in the morning and sit on the wide ledge of the bay windows and watch the local fishermen taking their boats out to sea. Breakfast was... More

Let me tell you about this discovery, off the well beaten track on the normally over-trodden Cornish coast. If you have ever fancied a night or two in one of those perfect little Cornish fishing ports, without the tourists, you probably thought it was a pipe-dream. But no, Portloe is where you should head, The Lugger Hotel. The great thing... More

What a nice hotel… The staff is probably the best trained, efficient, friendly one I have ever experienced. The location is amazing, a tiny working harbor - beautiful and dramatic. The Kitchen is superb; innovative menu, carefully prepared - perhaps a tad high in price, thus we ate there only 2 of 6 nights, but those two were perfect. All... More

Beautiful coastal location especially if you're looking for a quiet location. The sea is azure blue and the cliffs are spectacular. The hotel is spread over several buildings the main body of which houses a small bar and restaurant serving an excellent selection of seafood and local meat dishes. The restaurant is decked out in white linen and the service... More

Came across this hotel by chance, booked for its convenient location in relation to the south west coastal path (it is literally on the path) - and was very impressed. Not only was the hotel luxuriously comfortable with impeccable staff, its setting is idyllic and the food was impeccable, so good that it's worth a visit to eat even if... More
