A Coaching Inn built in 1594, The Falcon has been thoughtfully restored and reintroduced into the rural Northamptonshire countryside as a hotel, restaurant and retreat. Wellbeing is at the centre of everything The Falcon offers - yoga, woodland walks, open-water swimming and seasonal menus at Eyas Restaurant that are sourced, wherever possible, from within the 10,500 acre Castle Ashby Estate. A country retreat for those in need of rest and renewal.

Absolutely stunning hotel where no expense has been spared to create a luxurious and relaxing environment. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food in the Eyas restaurant was superb. Delicious dishes using seasonal ingredients. Highly recommend both hotel and restaurant.

From arrival & check in to breakfast & checking out, our short stay at The Falcon was pretty much faultless. To address some of the comments made with regards to the restaurants & bars currently being open only to residents. Due to difficulty in recruiting staff being experienced in all the hospitality sector at the moment, we think the management have made this difficult decision in order to maintain such high standards & this can't be a decision taken lightly or one they will want to continue with any longer than necessary. From our experience this is the right decision. We were blessed with amazing weather for our short stay which added to a wonderful experience dining outside at the Eyas restaurant where the food & service was excellent. The room was really comfortable and all the small touches such as handmade cookies and turndown service added to the stay. We look forward to returning soon.

Having visited recently we returned as a family of three for a couple of drinks to be refused without a booking. This was on a Saturday, late afternoon with empty outside tables. Not impressed, with the remote location, we were not just passing. I could understand if we wanted to eat, but for a couple of drinks? Mind boggling, how can you turn away easy money after the past year!!? You have a lot to learn!

The whole experience, from start to finish, was superb: the welcoming and highly professional staff; the beautiful setting and ambience; the exquisite dining and cocktails; and the excellent Well-being offerings. My holistic massage was divine!

My wife and I picked this local hotel for our first night away from home after the recent complete lockdown. The residents parking area is away from the restaurant guests and is sited behind the buildings. For those interested it had 12 electric charging points. Our room was in a separate old building that had been beautifully converted/restored and the decor and comfort levels were excellent. We both enjoyed a very peaceful and comfortable night. The next morning, breakfast was served in the Eyas restaurant. The waiter took our requests for how we liked our breakfasts cooked and the chef followed them to the letter. I like my sausages, black pudding and bacon cooked to close to the point of incineration! The reception staff were efficient, helpful and extremely enthusiastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them. A thoroughly wonderful night away from home, despite only being twenty minutes journey away. As soon as we had returned home we re-booked a different room. No complaints about the room we had, just to experience a change of colour scheme.
