We we're really pleased when we arrived and found our family room was very large with a separate little room. Perfect for putting kids to bed and close there door, so we...

I stayed with my boyfriend, was given an older clean comfortable room. We noticed other rooms had been refurbished and looked good. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of it, worth the money. Lynda on reception was friendly and helpful. Easy to find off A38 plenty of parking.

We needed somewhere to stay near Plymouth - unfortunately for a family funeral. It is advertised as a hotel but really it is a Motel with rooms with their own front door opening on to the car park! Wi Fi is advertised but when you arrive you find it only in the public areas! When we went to the room....

Friendly staff, tired but comfortable would be a good summary of The Smithaleigh. I stayed upstairs in the adjacent building and the room whilst dated was warm, clean and comfortable with a decent powerful shower. Useful location just off the main route into Plymouth and a good alternative to a Premier Inn or Travelodge and better value. Staff were welcoming,...

Stayed here some years ago and it had not changed. Very dated rooms. My daughters rooms had a double bed, bunk beds and two put up beds in it. They were in the block away from the main building. We were in the main building upstairs. Smelt damp. Doors to rooms are very thin and not very secure. Would not...

We were very disappointed that after we traveled out of town to be told we can't have an evening meal because they had an evening function. So we had to go out for dinner. Our room was number 1 which was right next to the function room and disco, and when the guests came outside in the courtyard for a...

We were looking for somewhere to stretch legs and have a coffee when we came across this hotel. We were warmly welcomed and the drinks were quickly brought to us, the coffee was substantial and the teapot had enough for a good 2 cups. The place was very quiet but the person behind the bar was very friendly. The price...
