This BnB is nestled away in a beautful valley where only the sound of bells break the silence. The Belfry is a characterful building with a unique feel. The hosts were very attentive and managed the busy breakfast spell well. On the topic of breakfast, a delicious, non greasy fry up of local produce and classy alternatives such as smoked... More

A lovely oasis of peace; close to the A303, a great place to break your journey. You can be sure of a friendly welcome and a great English breakfast largely produced from fresh local ingredients. The Belfry is an interesting blend of olde worlde charm and modern creature comforts.

Really enjoyed the Belfry , good rooms - superb breakfast , comfortable beds and excellent service from a really good host - thank you for making our overnight stop a real pleasure and for the recommendation of the The Candlelight at Bishopswood for supper as your restaurant was closed that evening ...

I had the pleasure to stay here twice recently, and would very happily go back. As others have mentioned, the bathrooms have L’Occitane products, and there is an abundance of sweets and biscuits, and fair-trade tea and coffee. The rooms have TVs, access to free Wi-Fi, fans, hairdryers and additional electric radiators, but the central heating came on during the... More

An exceptional B&B, the place, and room was lovely, I had a lovely view over the valley. What made it exceptional was that the owners seem to be passionate about what they do....and they seem to do it really well. So many things were done to that bit a higher level, I'm wishing I'd made a list as I write... More

We stayed here on our way home from Cornwall and were attracted by the food so had pre-booked a meal in the Restaurant in advance of our stay. Sarah-Jane is a fantastic cook and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal,(which was even more special as we were the only 2 people dining there that night). She ensured that my meal... More

Came down for a Skydive at nearby Honiston and staying at the Belfry was a pleasant surprise. Lovely location, nice rooms, pleasant hosts and fantastic breakfast. There are a number of good pubs close by but not within walking distance, I understand the pub across the road is being refurbished. We went to the Candlelight Inn, Bishopswood for a meal... More

This is a rather exceptional B&B. The owners are passionate about their business. A converted Victorian school, the accommodation retains character, but everything has been provided to a high standard. Friendly, welcoming, very comfortable, and a high quality breakfast.

The owner-managers are special people who run their establishment to very high standards. They invite you to help yourself to snacks and soft drinks/juices, and offer breakfast choices cooked to order. The rooms are more than comfortable, and the bathrooms make you feel pampered. The only thing to note before booking is that this is a very rural area, and... More

The bed and breakfast were exceptional, my only problem was the clock bells ringing every quarter of an hour. If you are a heavy sleeper that is fine, but for a light sleeper like myself it was not good. The breakfast, however was incredibly good with everything you could wish for from a very nice English breakfast with all the... More
