Came down for a Skydive at nearby Honiston and staying at the Belfry was a pleasant surprise. Lovely location, nice rooms, pleasant hosts and fantastic breakfast. There are a number of good pubs close by but not within walking distance, I understand the pub across the road is being refurbished. We went to the Candlelight Inn, Bishopswood for a meal... More

This is a rather exceptional B&B. The owners are passionate about their business. A converted Victorian school, the accommodation retains character, but everything has been provided to a high standard. Friendly, welcoming, very comfortable, and a high quality breakfast.

The owner-managers are special people who run their establishment to very high standards. They invite you to help yourself to snacks and soft drinks/juices, and offer breakfast choices cooked to order. The rooms are more than comfortable, and the bathrooms make you feel pampered. The only thing to note before booking is that this is a very rural area, and... More

The bed and breakfast were exceptional, my only problem was the clock bells ringing every quarter of an hour. If you are a heavy sleeper that is fine, but for a light sleeper like myself it was not good. The breakfast, however was incredibly good with everything you could wish for from a very nice English breakfast with all the... More

We stayed one night to attend an event nearby. Unfortunately we couldn't arrive until late in the evening on a Sunday and the Restaurant was closed. We received a warm welcome and were shown our room (Shelley) and told to make ourselves at home in the Lounge, watch TV etc. as we wished. The room was very well presented and... More

Stayed here for a very short night but even in that time realised that it is lovely! It's very small, just a few rooms but the standard is excellent. The bathroom was immaculate and recently refurbished, with high quality toiletries and towels throughout Bedding was excellent and the room generally perfect. No issues with noise despite being near a road... More

I normally stay in large hotel chains, but staying in the west country I decided to go with something a little more quaint. This B&B is great. Lovely owners. Great Breakfast (Amazing Breakfast, quality ingredients cooked fantastically well). Bed good, Shower good, Toiletries really nice (L'occitane). Easy parking out front. It's a shame the resturante is only open Thursday to... More

An amazing place. The food was excellent both the breakfast and the dinner. Worth the money. Do not be put off by previous reviews mentioning the church bells - we didn't hear the ringing once. A really quiet hotel. An exceptional place.

I stayed here for New Year's Eve and I can't think of a way I would have rather welcomed in 2016. For starters, SJ and Neil are so welcoming - The Belfry is their home and it really feels like it, far more than a hotel! The rooms are very comfortable and cosy. I feel the cold and was worried...
