Stay two nights here . Old style hotel with a modern extension built on to it . Kinda ruins the old style experience but a nice hotel in general . Staff very good . Helpful and friendly . Restaurant food enjoyable . Nothing to complain about in this hotel . Dined in the train carriages one evening and this is...

Our stay at Glenlo Abbey was wonderful. The breakfast was extraordinary. The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful. We really couldn't have asked for a more wonderful stay in Galway.

Good location just outside Galway, beautiful old building with the interior tastefully decorated. We had a wedding anniversary dinner in the restaurant (unfortunately the train section was closed), but nonetheless we had delicious food and the most kindest, helpful and thoughtful waitress we have ever experienced. So a special thank you to her and all the staff.

Booked in 29th dec, yes it was cold outside but that doesnt mean it should be cold inside. The radiator in the room was cold and bathroom rad also cold. Its a pity really as it,s a lovely Hotel otherwise, Breakfast was great, and served to you not like the usual cattle rush in other hotels.

My family and I saw the Glenlo Abbey from the road on our way to visit Kylemore Abbey and made the inspired decision to see about staying for a night on our return. We loved our night at Glenlo! The rooms are large and comfortable, the building attractive and charming, the Abbey ambience lovely and the staff attentive and friendly....

Was here as part of a wedding party. There were a few things that made a lot of us think it was not quite up to a 5 star hotel. In the function room a lot of the beer taps were off but none of the staff seemed particularly concerned though one offered to go to the basement bar to...

Spent a few nights at Glenlo over the last year and recently got married here. I have nothing but praise for the hotel, particularly the comfort of the rooms and general facilities, and the service of the staff. As a wedding venue, fantastic and Christine helped make our day perfect. Would definitely recommend this hotel for romantic getaways, business or...

I had lunch here with a group of people. Considering its 5 star status I can't say that I was overly impressed either by the food or the venue, which lacked atmosphere and rightly or wrongly gave the impression of being run by amateurs rather than by professionals, albeit with very friendly service. It's a lovely old building, but it...

This hotel is lovely. The staff are so welcoming and the hotel is very cosy with fires lit all over the hotel. There is a restaurant there that is part of the orient express. You have your dinner on the orient express. The food is so lovely and everyone is so nice. The rooms are lovely two. They are a...

My wife and I booked glenlo abbey for 3 nights for a few relaxing days away after our wedding. First impressions of the hotel were great. Along with being a beautiful building, It's in a great location with stunning views over Lough Corrib. Upon entry of the hotel we were greeted by fabulous decor and the sound, smell and warmth...
