Very comfortable room, everything you need incl free wifi. Fresh milk for your tea and coffee if you ask reception, they keep small thermos flasks in a fridge. Very adequate restaurant, good choice of dishes and well cooked and presented.

Stayed in this hotel for four days with my wife and two kids. Hotel rooms are good and spacious enough for four people. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and it was wonderfull, breakfast was marvellous. Location is very good and close too London, Windsor / Leeds castle and of course closeby Dover. One thing the hotel could improve... More

We only stayed 1 night and only in room number 2. We did however eat at the hotel in the evening, which was very nice and also a full English breakfast next morning which was also scrummy. However, when we first went into the room it seemed okay although quite small for a family room and there were three of... More

We ate here today for Sunday lunch. The staff were lovely and the food was lovely. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The menu is very good and the desserts were lovely too. Lovely clean dining area and outside seating too. Definitely recommend.

You get a warm and friendly welcome from all the staff at the Dog and Bear. The rooms are very pleasant and the bathrooms have been updated. Just a minor thing, I found the handles on the doors quite difficult to operate. They are rustic type handles, quite ornate but not smooth to operate. Breakfast enormous, if you like that... More
