The Cornish room was pleasant with some excellent art work by the owners brother. The bed was a small double and was fairly comfortable if smaller than we like. The shower was truly awful and being over a bath quite tricky for folks with dodgy hips as well as being not powerful enough. The breakfast consisted of a choice of... More

Stayed at Winslow Retreat for 2 nights during my recent tour in the UK. I was made to feel very welcome and at home. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable and nicely decorated in middle eastern style. Breakfast could have been whatever I wanted, but had the porridge each morning as it was so delicious. The highlight of my... More

They know the region very well, give good advice where to go, what to visit and where to have diner. The room is spacious, tasteful decorated and well... More

Wanting to be near my Daughter in South Peverton for a special surprise visit to see my 16 yearold Grandaughter Skydiving to raise money for the Donkey Sanctuary. I found this amazing B & B the Winslow Retreat. No! I will correct that, on entering it is not like the average B & B, you are personal guests in this... More

Welcoming, comfy, clean, good size room. Excellent hosts and amazing quality breakfast. We had a really relaxing stay and cannot think of anything that would have improved it. Pretty village with good pub and picturesque countryside surrounding.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here and had a wonderful time. Chris and Lesley are very welcoming hosts, who were really interested in what we wanted to do and where we wanted to visit. They had lots of helpful advice and tips. The actual accommodation was very comfortable with great facilities. I would highly recommend it and would definitely... More

Apart from getting tucked up in bed and read a night time story, this place really felt like home. The rooms are comfortable and functional and finished to a good standard, sympathetically decorated to the style of the old building. It is a bit off the beaten path but the hosts make up for it all with their generous hospitality... More
