Well then maybe you are a 3* and not a 4*! The room also had a small heated towel rail which couldn’t accommodate 4 towels, and you couldn’t switch the shower on or off without getting your hair wet, because the control was the far side of the bath...

Evening meal could have been very tasty,but it was served on cold plates... Breakfast was better very hot and fresh but still on cold plates... Was quoted £25 each for 3 years to use outdoor pool ,very expensive not worth it...

...We were able to check in a couple of hours early which was handy. The room was spacious and comfortable with big TV, nice towels & tea etc provided... The hotel is out in county so we opted to have dinner there and tried to book it a few days before, unfortunately no table available until 9pm so do book well in advance ... Service does need to sharpen up, the main waiter was friendly but we had to ask for our drinks as the order took ages and arrived just after the food... Breakfast was standard buffet with nice coffee pot on table but again service lacking... Young inexperienced staff standing huddled together right in the door way where people trying to walk through with their food and we had to ask for plates from fruit etc to be cleared before collecting main breakfast...

They actually set up both inside and outside as there was a chance it was going to rain... Azhar kept us both updated on the chances of rain throughout the morning so we could make a decision and he put no pressure on us making a decision right up until the last minute where we decided to chance it and go outside... The grounds are amazing, the food was incredible, the service was spot on... I didn’t hear any complaints at all from any of our guests, every person commented on how much of a beautiful venue ardencote was and how great the food and service was... Azhar went above and beyond to make our families feel comfortable, my dad was extremely nervous for his speech and he bought out a whisky for him to settle his nerves which I thought was such a lovely thing to do, my father in law is diabetic and he bought him a cheese board out for desert, it was these little touches that made such a difference... Megan and Dawn, the wedding planners were so helpful as well and always respond to emails promptly, we had several visits with them and they are so helpful... A massive thank you to all staff at Ardencote!...

We ordered our starters and they all arrived piping hot, the mains arrived and they also were generous and hot and also a plus as far as we are concerned the plates were hot... Within an hour we had finished our mains, a Christmas miracle surely!... All in all considering Christmas is a very busy time in catering, Ardencote staff at the Lodge can give themselves a BIG pat on the back, THANK YOU...

A special mention must be made of Peter, the therapist who gave me a wonderful back massage and Indian head massage... I am aware that some spas hesitate to treat clients that have gone through cancer treatment so it was reassuring to discover that Ardencote has a trained therapist and I was able to enjoy a much-missed pamper session...

We looked forward to an overnight spa break and were not disappointed... We were made to feel very welcome by the receptionist who explained everything we needed to know well with a friendly demeanour... The serving staff were also polite and accommodating despite our late arrival for breakfast... The service was excellent with the perfect amount of time between courses... Four of us had a massage and had very different experiences... One masseur was particularly good however, another spoke to much making for a less relaxed experience...

It’s a local venue for us Ladies but we thoroughly enjoyed a lovely afternoon & evening under a ‘Dinner, Bed & Breakfast’ arrangement for our mini staycation... Thoroughly enjoyed a fab & yummy 3 course meal with very polite waiting staff... It ticks a fair few boxes & does what it says in the tin... Thank you Ardencote, we’ll be back…...

...So upon arrival when we asked the lady in the restaurant and after a chat with other we were told they could fit us in, we asked for a copy of the menu which we then went off to read, ok not a great menu, plan B we went down the road at 7pm to the Red Lion where we had a candlelight dinner for two with a huge varied menu, the restaurant at this hotel is a large conservatory type building which doesn’t provide the same intimate dinning experience we enjoy, although it was ok for breakfast which I will commend was great, BUT whilst in the bar in the evening the staff started to prepare said area for the next mornings breakfast, which included lots of small cereal boxes, and an open bowl of Frosties, which upon arrival at breakfast in the morning were still open, maybe I missed the covering over and uncovering, but I didn’t indulge in these for breakfast...

...Stayed here for a mini golf break back in mid 2022, met the owner who was very friendly and helpful about the golf and the staff were communicative and friendly. Room was good, internet/mobile was sketchy but then they all seem to be these days... Room was clean comfortable and quiet...

We had our wedding day here yesterday 21.07.2023, it was absolutely amazing. ...We checked in at 10am & enjoyed all the Spa facilities, the only complaint was that the showers in the swimming area, pool & changing room were really cold, staff told me that it was just because too many people were using the hot water at the same time, what rubbish I found out from others the boiler had broke & hadn't worked for 2 or 3 weeks which people should be told of & perhaps discounted... Anyway our server was very helpful & did her best... We had upgraded to a lovely big upstairs room with a huge comfy bed in a corner room where we had an excellent night's sleep...

We’ve stayed at this hotel several time over the past couple of years and we’ve enjoyed each visit... The receptionist Jade welcomed us with a smile and efficiently handled our check-in... The rooms are modern, clean and spacious... The beds are a comfortable super king size, consisting of two single beds locked together... The en-suite is clean and modern with high quality fittings... We had booked a package which included a delicious three course evening meal with plenty of choice... The cooked Breakfast is a buffet, which is regularly refreshed... The hotel offers both a Spa and Golf package for a reasonable price... Guests have access to the indoor pool, gym, steam room and sauna... The outdoor pool is restricted to club members... The hotel has a lovely setting which includes a lake...

...I must say it is a really lovely place. We arrived at 12.00 and our room was ready... The room was nice and spacious with 2 single beds... A good sized wardrobe and a desk... Tea and coffee were available in the room... We used the indoor swimming pool and the sauna... There was a hot tub inside but unfortunately it was not working... There was a hot tub outside which was really nice... There was also an outdoor swimming pool but we didn’t use that as it was too cold... We had afternoon tea which was scones and tea or coffee... In the evening we had dinner in the brasserie and it was a 3 course meal... Breakfast was a buffet style and included toast, cereals, cooked breakfast and fruit and yogurt...

...Stayed here for a mini golf break back in mid 2022, met the owner who was very friendly and helpful about the golf and the staff were communicative and friendly. Room was good, internet/mobile was sketchy but then they all seem to be these days... Room was clean comfortable and quiet...
