Room was Alright, clean poor layout, Patio doors which didn't meet in the , good job it was Summer, just a small bolt as security. Staff fairly helpful, needs a little TLC. The Breakfast was good, although the Reception staff did not offer us voucher for reduction, only found out from Helpful Restaurant Manager.

I had read a couple of reviews and wondered. However I rang ahead and asked for a quiet room, this the provided. Dinner on the 1st night was good, they muddled a couple of the orders, but the food was very good. Sleep was excellent, bathroom, good, plenty of hot water. I asked for more milk and was sent 1/2... We were looking forward to staying in this grand old country house. Our 'superior' room turned out to be in the annex, more of Travel Lodge type room, adequate but not what we booked. Two very different buildings with separate reception, accommodation and dining room. Our first impression on approaching the hotel was very good and the grounds are lovely.... More

When we arrived at check in having already booked in on line I was only given one room having booked two, his was quickly corrected when pointed out. When we opened the door to the rooms (adjoining) we could not believe the heat from the rooms - I was really surprised to find out that this exclusive hotel did not... More

I have been there several times, and what can I say... the view is magnificent! Staff are friendly, always willing to help. It's the best place to go for a nice quite weekend. The disadvantage/advantage (depends on how you look at it) is that the wifi is slow and limited mobile network, but considering the remoteness of the hotel it... More

Booked the miost expensive suite they had. Comfortable but basic. Photos look more impressive than the real thing. Aircon was shoddy. Restaurant food average but service was great. Fantastic breakfast and service.

Hotel was lovely, staff couldnt have been more helpful, food in restaurant just fab. Was here for a spa day with girly chums. We heard someone else commenting on the bad reviews, but just didnt see any of the problems others have logged.

We (2 adults and one child age 11) stayed at the Walton Hall over the weekend. Our room was in the coach house. It had a large bedroom, a sitting room and a kitchen with dining table. A portable bed was in the sitting room for our son. The room was a little tired and could do with a little... More

Just spent 2 nights here and had 2 bedrooms for us and the kids. We were staying here due to attending a nearby family wedding. We had a lovely weekend but apart from breakfast we were not impressed at all by the cleanliness of both our rooms and the attitude of the hotel staff. Between the 2 rooms we had... More

Unfortunately the hotel does not live up to it's setting as my girlfriend and I discovered on a recent stay. As you arrive and see the beautiful Hall you are thinking this is going to be amazing and especially when you have the stables added to it. Sadly that was the peak of the stay as the room we were...
