Stopped here for a day, easy access off the m40 and close to Bicester village. Easy to find. There is a bar and restaurant. Room was nice and had coffee and tea available in the room. Bar was like a living room, nice settee's to watch the tv, not much to do in the direct vicinity but if you have... More

Clean, comfortable and adequate without being top notch. In general the rooms need a make over with a woman's touch, as although it looked modern and smart, there were some decidedly strange choices in the fittings. Breakfast was not included in the charge, but was reasonably priced and we paid on arrival. Good value too, although the one thing I... More

Didn't stay but popped in with my wife on the way back from Wilderness Festival, attracted by their 'best Oxfordshire carvery' roadside poster. We were worried they'd be shaping themselves up for a fall with that claim but thankfully they didn't disappoint. Despite our not having booked we were squeezed in at short notice, and the carvery itself ticked all... More

Horrendous service. I went into the restaurant. I went for dinner. The man told me there was a 40 minute wait for food and walked away from me. So I told him how rude he was for just leaving me to stand there. 'Well I have food to give out!' Then my chicken was raw on my pasta, which I... More

Tucked away in the Oxfordshire countryside, character hotel with good quality rooms, very friendly and attentive staff, felt very welcome, booked a four poster room, comfy bed, large room and good size bathroom, bonus was the rooms private terrace overlooking fields. We only stayed one night, the accommodation was ok but nothing more than that! Outside was really pretty but the inside is very dated, it has a damp smell to it and feels dirty. We had a suit and the beds felt like they might collapse during the night! The shower didn't work, nor the Jacuzzi bath, the bath panel... More

Booked through booking.com, was listed as 4 star but on arrival was only 3 star but would say more of a 2 star.
