Tucked away in the Oxfordshire countryside, character hotel with good quality rooms, very friendly and attentive staff, felt very welcome, booked a four poster room, comfy bed, large room and good size bathroom, bonus was the rooms private terrace overlooking fields. Bar was comfortable, service good, and a great breakfast in the restaurant. The only small negative was with the... More

We only stayed one night, the accommodation was ok but nothing more than that! Outside was really pretty but the inside is very dated, it has a damp smell to it and feels dirty. We had a suit and the beds felt like they might collapse during the night! The shower didn't work, nor the Jacuzzi bath, the bath panel... More

Booked through booking.com, was listed as 4 star but on arrival was only 3 star but would say more of a 2 star. The deluxe room we had although large with a jacuzzi sounded good was in fact quite basic. The bedside tables were turned around the wrong way so you could not use the drawers, The bedside lights did... More

Very friendly staff and comfortable room, however the shower was terrible and needs repair! I ordered steak which I would never order again, however my Wife had the lasagne which she said was nice. Breakfast was included which was nice. Wifi is only available in the bar area which closes at 11pm.

We booked this hotel over the internet just the week before we went, it was difficult to get to even with our Sat Nav. but it did become easier after that. Staff in Reception were friendly and took us to our room which was only across the courtyard. The bedrooms are separate from the main hotel and are set in... More

Quiet place. Room is newly renovated, clean n spacious. Bed is however a bit too soft. There is a nice restaurant that serves a good meal. The staff are friendly. In the morning we saw horses in the fields n a pretty peacock. Overall pleasant stay.

I probably wouldn't stay here again. It could do with a good clean and a refurb. The bar/restaurant was dead, and not where I would chose to relax. I didn't attempt an evening meal. The room that I stayed in was a fair size, which is the most positive thing I can say about it. The tv didn't work properly... More
