2021 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best
Created by celebrated chef Raymond Blanc OBE, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is renowned for offering one of Britain's finest gastronomic experiences. Situated in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Great Milton, it is also one of the country's most intimate and original hotels, with 32 individually designed guest rooms and suites. The hotel received two Michelin stars in 1984, the first year of its opening, and, remarkably, has held them ever since. Surrounded by lawns, flower borders and orchards, the luxury hotel enjoys an idyllic, typically English setting. But beyond the eye-catching displays are vegetable and herb gardens that provide the kitchen-and the acclaimed Raymond Blanc Cookery School-with ultra-fresh, organic produce, ensuring the Michelin-star restaurant remains at the cutting edge of culinary excellence.

I have visited this hotel numerous times over the last 10 years, both for lunch, dinner and the occasional overnight stay. The location and gardens are fantastic in all seasons but especially in sunny weather when you can sit outside and have a drink. It is a joy to walk in the gardens and see so many vegetables growing. The service in all areas of the hotel is superb and the staff go out of their way to accommodate you. My only criticism would be, as a vegetarian, I feel the food quality has deteriorated over the years. Like in so many other restaurants, I was given mostly vegan food. A vegetarian can eat eggs, cheese, butter, cream etc. creating rich and flavourful food. However almost all the food I was given was vegan containing just vegetables. I feel this is a lazy approach and not inventive. I hope on my next visit this will improve. The wine selection is varied and extensive, with all the wines I tried being superb. Looking forward to another visit later in the year.

if you are going to splash out then this is the pace to go. It was a treat for friends and delivered on exceeding expectations and making it a very special memory Its a place that feels very comfortable but also manages to feel exceptionally specials - which some 'posher' places do manage

This is a great place for a special occasion. The hotel is lovely, the vegetable gardens very interesting. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. 7 course tasting dinner was superb, every course was beautifully presented and flavoursome. My only complaint was the cheese board we ordered to finish which was a great disappointment and overpriced. Spent a very enjoyable morning wandering around the grounds.

A once in a lifetime (although I hope I will return again one day!) visit to this amazing hotel given to me as a birthday treat. The staff are really welcoming and friendly, kind. The room was the best I’d ever stayed in - the Dovecote, pictured - which I would recommend. We arrived very early due to over-excitement and had a drink on the lawns and wander through the herb gardens. The food and drinks were perfect!
