A charming and delightful place to stay - highly recommended. Wonderful hosts, warm and homely vibe with outstanding food (thanks for the clotted cream on the Guernsey Gache - one of the best desserts ever). Will long be remembered as one of the nicest in our travels - thanks.
We walked here from our rental property. It is a delightful quaint quiet restaurant. Food has often be locally sourced. If a visitor to the island we would recommend the Gache Melee, a delicious apple cake with ice cream.
We stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of August. It is a lovely quaint and beautiful little guest house with welcoming, country style rooms, excellent service and fabulous food. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to give us an early breakfast before our flight home, which incidentally, was delicious. The bed was comfy and the room had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and dinner and both were excellent.... especially my falafel with couscous salad..... to die for!! A warming and very tasty rice pudding for dessert was a lovely menu choice....... sometimes you want comfort food and nothing too fancy...... this excellent restaurant provides both choices to equally superb standards. We hope to return in the future.
We have dined here on many occasions but this is my first review. I felt I had to tell everyone just how wonderful the restaurant, atmosphere and owners and staff are. They couldn't be more helpful. The food is delicious and always varied. The wines on offer are very reasonable and carefully selected by the owner himself. It's a husband and wife team and they both take pride and pleasure in what they do. The whole place is welcoming and it always feels like your visiting an old friend. As I said we didn't stay at hotel, but planning on doing so in the future.
I needed accommodation in Guernsey for one night on short notice. Lucky for me they had had a cancellation and could accommodate me. I did not know this place and was slightly apprehensive, but it could not have been more perfect for me. Farmhouse style accommodation, slightly dated but scrupulously clean and very comfortable. The food was exquisite. A little oasis after a very stressful day. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
