We went with my mum and didnt want her in a room on her own so had a penthouse suite which gave us two separate bedrooms with living space so we...

The location is great, the local restaurants are also very fine if pricey, but the hotel itself is overpriced for what it is offering. Furnishings a little faded and done on the cheap. The bed was bad which is a deal breaker for me. It was small by the standards of many travellers today but also just a poor springy...

I can't speak higher of the staff who looked after my every need during my stay here. Absolutely spot on! I had the Snowdonia marathon the next day and I was so well looked after as soon as I stepped into reception. The lovely receptionist lady welcomed me and showed me around and advised me on what I need to...

Location, staff and restaurant compensated for poor room. Seems some of the rooms are refurbished OK, sorry I didn't get one but still paid ' top dollar ', not the best way to encourage a revisit! Will be back to check it out again though, next time will ask for discount!

We stayed in a premium double for just one night and paid the extra for breakfast. The hotel is situated overlooking a harbour and a short walk to the village pub which is next to the sea front. The hotel owner and staff are very friendly and the owner is very knowledgeable about the area and local history. Our room...

The hotel is located in a lovely area of North Wales, convenient to Snowdonia and Anglesey. The rooms we have stayed in are comfortable and spacious. The new Bistro for dinner serves delicious food. Unfortunately, we can't say the same about the breakfast: you can have a full English, or go for the cellophane wrapped croissants and store-bought bread and...

“Nature of the building means walls are thin and noise travels. Was fine when we stayed but if a wedding or stag night there it could be a problem. Some building works underway. Try the Italian restaurant on the other side of the bridge (Enoteca?) for an evening meal - pricey but very good authentic Italian (primi, secondi etc.) You could also do worse than try the hotel's own Bistro. Although the setting and service were a little of the 1970s Robins Nest variety the food was exceptionally and unexpectedly well cooked and for the quality good value.”
