Having driven past this hotel many times over the past years I always though it would be some sort of tired wayside stopover. Wrong! To be sure the main building is old, but the majority of the sleeping accommodation is anything but. There now appear to be at least two different areas. The old building houses the reception, restaurant, bar,... More

The rooms were clean and the food was good. We were however disappointed to find ourselves in a "motel" style room with very little Scottish charm. The finishings were minimal and the bathroom light that came on automatically in the middle of the night did nothing to make our stay more comfortable.

Stayed for one night as we had planned a day trip to see Glencoe. The staff could not have been more helpful at every opportunity! We brought along our family dog on his first overnight & he was spoiled. Definitely a dog friendly hotel! Food was also great, especially the breakfast... We couldn't eat another bite for hours! We hadn't... More

A welcome oasis having walked from Beinglas Farm on WHW. Comfortable and well-appointed room meaning a good nights sleep. We had dinner in the main restaurant where there is a good menu - Cullen Skink is excellent. Wonderful breakfast in conservatory with picturesque views over mountains. Staff attentive, friendly and welcoming. Would definitely book again.

By far the best place we stayed during our 7 day West Highland Way walk - stayed for 2 nights. Comfy rooms and friendly staff with nice surroundings. Restaurant was phenomenal - best food we had in Scotland!

Charming and attentive staff were on hand to make sure all ran smoothly at reception and in the bar. Our double room was pretty compact, compared to others we have stayed at along the WHW, but was comfortable nonetheless. Evening meals were tasty and freshly produced. The cheese and biscuits (oatcakes) comes with frozen grapes ("it is how the chef... More

Three of us stayed here in August whilst completing the West Highland Way, it was a perfect location after a long hike! We stayed in the studio/ little cottage which was separate from the hotel and was perfect in many ways: warm, comfy beds, beautifully equipped and beautiful views over the river. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food... More

Steven & I have just spent 2 nights here during a fortnight traveling around Scotland. The staff are all excellent, our room was really comfortable and all our meals were super. There's an extremely comfortable lounge which we used during the evening and some nice walks near by. The place is a little in need of some subtle improvements as... More

During the Western Highland road, we stopped there. The waiter/tress were very customer oriented and the service was great. The place is good. We really kept a good souvenir from the service. Food is average Scottish ;-). The rooms are totally new in another building and the restaurant is in the old building. Rooms were brand new, very clean and... More
