July 2016, west highland way walkers. The room sleeps six and is reasonable for a hostel-standard room although is small. You arrive, phone up the number of the owners/caretakers, and they come down and let you in. If they ever lost their phone or just didn't respond you'd have a problem, though. You make your own bed using supplied linen,... More

This bunkhouse is located on the platform of a functioning train station. We thought that was pretty neat. Trains are no bother as it is not exactly the busiest of rail lines. When we arrived the owner told us off because our luggage tags did not have the same name on them as our booking. At several occasions he was... More

7 of us stayed here in a single bunkhouse on our 3rd night of the WHW and we were all very satisfied with the location, standard of accommodation and value for money it offered especially after reading some of the other poor reviews which were completely at odds with our own experience. A couple of good hot showers and toilets... More

Called the property in the morning to secure a booking for that evening, my debit card details were given over the phone to confirm the reservation, this is common practice so was happy to do so. The following morning whilst trying to get a coffee from the rec room I immediately noticed my debit card number, expire date, and security... More

Accommodation was scarce at this popular time for WHW, so this was all we could book. We read all the reviews and went in with low expectations. The hosts Helen and Steve were lovely, making a real effort to share their local knowledge with us. Helen even went to the effort of making a salad for me for my pack... More

Our planned route took us to Bridge of Orchy - Day 3 on the West Highland Way B of O Hotel was fully booked so had to had to settle for the sleeper. Previous reviews had set the alarm bells going, so went with a low expectation but hey when doing the WHW you really dont need more than a... More

Don't believe the awful reviews! The sleeper is in a fantastic location right on the west highland way and the railway for however your travelling. The only other option in the village is very expensive. The sleeper is clean enough, with comfy beds and offers fantastic food cooked by owner Helen for only £12 for 3 courses. Helen happily cooks... If you can afford the hotel or have a tent then take that choice, this should be so nice but has so many things which make you think ,what!! Three storey bunk beds. Untidy rooms. Not the cleanest toilets and showers. When it was refurbished it was possibly great but that would be 1980. And the price doesn't compare well... More

Being stuck when the weather is closing in and your (very good tent) has just about decided you should not be on the hill. The easy walk from Tyndrum to The Bridge of Orchy. The Challenge that is from Kinlochleven over and into the top Glen and then into Nevis, the absoloute stoney track across the Rannoch in bad weather. The Devils staircase... More

On arriving at this accommodation at 4.10pm after walking 20 miles we were met by Steve who I believe is the owner. He was unfriendly, unpleasant and most unhelpful. He told us that we could not get into our room and sent us down the hill to the local hotel telling us to come back around 5pm. On returning at... More
