We stayed here as we had a wedding nearby. The rooms were basic, a little dated but clean! In my opinion they are overpriced at £80 per night. The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing which are two very important aspects of any overnight stay. There was one small body wash and a shampoo in the bathroom but... More

Stayed here when we visited the Truck and Van show at Millbrook Proving Ground and had a very good night. The bar staff were friendly lads and had good craic and the food was really nice. Beds were comfortable and the only thing that would come close to a fault was that the rooms were pretty dark, even with the... More

Didnt stay at the hotel just had a meal with family. Very cheerful helpful staff. Good menus and everything nicely cooked. The lady ( David) Who looked after us during the meal was able to advise us on the meals on the menu.

This is the second year we've stayed here while attending the nearby Twinwood Festival over the August bank holiday. We're already booked in for next year as well. Hotel manager Bev and her team are simply fantastic. I was held up in traffic and didn't get to the hotel until 11pm, but Bev had made sure there was a very... More

The manager was really helpful. Coming to see us on her day off to ensure my dad was comfortable with his room. The rooms are very clean, quiet and bed so comfy. Had lunch on arrival which was fantastic value. Breakfast in the morning freshly cooked from menu and delicious. Second time stayed there whilst visiting relatives.

It's an old building. Our room was clean enough (although I spent sometime on my knees going through my suitcase and stood up with dirt from the carpet on my knees) but the corridor to the room smells of damp and has paper peeling off the walls. The land lady has a very firm persona and no smile in her... More

Booked the hotel over the Internet but when we arrived what an amazing welcome we were given. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. My feet were sore from wearing new shoes and I was given plasters to help for the next day. Staff unbelievable friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and beautifully kept. Would highly recommend... More

I am glad I did not read the most recent reviews which were mostly negative before I stayed at The Queens Hotel as my stay was such a contrast. My partner and I stayed for one night and arrived about 8.45 greeted by a lovely lady in reception who was very efficient and also extremely pleasant with a good sense... More
