We booked last minute with our little dog for a Saturday evening stay early September. Staff were all lovely from the receptionist, bar staff (especially the cocktail maker from near likley) & breakfast team we couldn’t fault their service. Grounds beautiful and the lake view amazing. The building is old and has a lovely feel, whilst some parts of the building are looking tired you totally forgive this as the overall experience and relaxed professional yet friendly service more than make up for it. Hotel is dog friendly, with dog treat jars available, separate dining room for those with dogs so they can join you at breakfast - our little dog Tobi was even offered a sausage for his breakfast!! We had a first floor room with balcony as preferred the option of a view over direct access to the lawns from ground floor. Overall a delightful visit would certainly recommend.

Lovely hotel, in a fantastic location. Foods ok, and a bit pricey. All staff we met, worked long hours, but always did so with a smile, and a professionalism, particularly Ant & Dec at meal times. Staff help make the place.

I have used Leeming House for some years now to run my management development courses and I just keep coming back. The setting is marvelous of course, but it is the hotel team that make it special they are so flexible, helpful and attentive. In particular Monica is a star.......efficient, friendly and funny..... my delegates love her and so do I! I look forward to every visit.

We stayed for one night taking the evening meal and breakfast option. The food was beautiful and the staff were very helpful. The room was lovely but needed updating slightly. Our balcony view made up for that though.. stunning. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is set in a perfect location and provides great access to many lovely walks, including Lowther Castle which is a must visit. The hotel itself is beautifuly maintained, and our room was clean and comfortable. The balcony looks out to the lake and the hotel gardens, which are a beautiful sight to wake up to. The breakfast was spot on and they allow you to customise your full English as you like. Also, I would like to share a special thank you to Lesley for all her assistance with executing my engagement plans at the hotel - she truly is a credit to the hotel. She helped organise a champagne picnic on the lakeside, flowers, balloons, petals, the lot! Thank you again for everything. We will definitely be back.

Excellent location with a stunning view the wedding we attended was amazing and the whole day was very special.. The rooms was very hot with no air conditioning in them or throughout the hotel, the hotel was also very tired looking overall in many areas and I think they needed more staff as service was a little slow. overall was a great weekend at a beautiful wedding with an amazing family

Very comfortable, friendly staff and a wonderful view from our balcony in room 37. Hotel is a bit tired overall and some of the colours quite dowdy. Breakfast was lovely but not a wide selection of the buffet elements. We would stay again if in the area. Hotels generally seem to have cut down quite significantly on the niceties ie decent coffee making ie not instant and a kettle, no fresh milk, super miniature toiletries, very limited flowers or plants, towels ok but not luxury, no bottles of water in the room, no mini bar, its just the nice finishing touches you don't get any more, not just in this hotel but in other we have stayed in. It was a trend starting pre-pandemic and seems to have gathered momentum. Shame when you are paying pretty strong rates for B&B.

Thanks for the review Nina , really appreciate it and glad to hear you'd come back again, you'll always be welcome. I do understand your comments relating to the "niceties" and we of course try our utmost to make the rooms as luxurious as possible, but you're correct some decisions simply had to be made within our industry in order to get back on our feet again and indeed to survive in the hear and now with all of the rampaging cost increases that we are all also experiencing in our own private lives. Thanks again for the comments. Regards Darren
