Echoing quite a few of the recent reviews on here, The Grant Arms needs a serious amount of love and TLC to be good value for money. The room we were in was clean (mostly) and the beds were comfortable but the bathroom was shocking. The shower was either stone cold, or a dribble of hot water, thankfully we had...

We stayed for two night while visiting some friends in the area. The room was badly heated and had mould around the windows. Quite worn down, no plug points (well, there was one socket). The sheets were clean but the duvet and bedding were too heavy and not too clean (or just stained with age). The bathroom was very run...

I stay in a lot of hotels throughout the UK and the Grants Arms really deserves the lowest accolade I can think of. It is one of the grottiest places you could hope to only find in yr nightmares! Please if you are staying in Ramsbottom do not stay here. To the Directors/Owners of the establishment.......You have a building in...

Perfect for a dirty weekend, and I mean filthy. We didn't expect the Ritz but at the prices charged I'd expect wallpaper to be on the wall and not peeling off. There was exposed wiring where the TV connects to the wall and peeling paint. Now we can overlook this, really we could but the final straw was the 'super...

This has been and a BEAUTIFUL OLD HOTEL in its day. However it is run down and needs a lot of interior and exterior work to be a "presentable, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The room I occupied had little room at end of single bed to walk. The "grate and concrete" coming out of the tiles in bath/shower...

By far the worst hotel I've ever been in! And I've stayed in some rotters! The first thing that hits you is the smell! The acrid stench of stale beer eminating from the bar downstairs is horiffic. The rooms couldn'tbe more frightening if they appeared in The Shining. Don't expect a working shower, a clean bathroom or even a toilet...

Staff lovely. The whole building is damp and full of mould. They get away with such poor standards because they're the only hotel in Rammy. There are much better hotels within a few miles. The place is a public health hazard.

Absolutely horrid place to have a drink. We came to Ramsbottom for the 1st time and decided to pop in for a quick refreshment. The pub had a distinct smell of wee. Very pricey drinks. The tables outside are a health risk (nails) sticking up. The toilets were littered with flys. Please avoid this place.

Stayed at this hotel for one night as I attended a wedding in Ramsbottom. The hotel is very old fashioned and if that's what they are going for then that is fine. However, the room itself was quite dusty and really needed some TLC. The bed was rather uncomfortable and this would stop me staying again. It took us ten...
