We were bought a Groupon voucher for our birthdays! We booked to stay on the 31st March no standard rooms left so paid £20 for superior room. Check in was smooth & no issues. Our room was lovely & could see it had been recently refurbished, small issue with cleanliness tea stains up the wall, on bedside draws & cobwebs...

We used the gym, the spa, the stable bar, the restaurant and the room. Taking into account how much we paid, this was a superb break. Very relaxing and just lovely from start to finish. Do manage your expectations based on price (this was almost half the price we have paid in similar, more rural spa hotels). The staffing levels...

Just returned from a two night stay. A lovely, quaint hotel, in my opinion the hotel could do with a little makeover in places but it has plenty of character, after all it is a Grade 1 listed building. The hotel has ample car parking. The bedroom was clean and comfortable with coffee/tea and complimentary biscuits. We dined in the...

Hotel was exactly as expected from a Grade I listed building wasn't disappointed. Bedroom was clean and quaint you did have to go up a couple of stairs here and there but most old buildings are like this. Stables bar was very good, wedding reception was good. Food was hot and varied yes bar prices to some may seem high...

My daughter and ( now ) husband chose this venue for their wedding reception, rooms were chosen and booked, upon arrival the day before the wedding we found that the rooms that were booked had been allocated to other guests so after some juggling around the hotel managed to work things out except the room that bride had requested but...
