We had lunch here with friends. We hadn't been before, and first impressions were good. The house and surroundings are beautiful, and parking was easy. Moreton's restaurant, situated in the old library, is a lovely room. Our table for six was ready, with large bottles of chilled water. The three course meal was buffet style, and the waiters who took... More

The hotel looks beautiful and the grounds are lovely but sadly it's very average and dreary inside although quite clean. The rooms are dated but clean enough. The food & Service in the Mortimer Restaurant was very hit and miss. On our first morning we were seated at a dirty used table not relayed from the last guest..and had to ask for... More

We found out about Tortworth through an offer on Secret Escapes. It proved to be excellent value for money and we received exactly what had been proposed. In fact it was even better, as the bedroom was a very good size, the bed extremely comfortable and the whole stay, even though it was only for one night, a wonderful experience.... More

Went for afternoon tea as a birthday treat with my husband extremely disappointing the room in which we were seated was so depressing very gloomy tatty wooden tables and grotty chairs the afternoon tea itself was not worth the money, the finger sandwiches were stale and hardly any filling inside them just tasted the stale bread , on the server... Spent 2 nights at Tortworth Court to celebrate my 10 year wedding anniversary. The hotel is stunning and the grounds beautiful, different options of what and where to eat and especially loved the Atrium which is very romantic at night. Room was comfortable and clean, felt very rested especially after use of the pool etc. Highly recommended! And a special... More

The grounds and building of the hotel are beautiful and a pleasure to walk around. Our room was a nice size with a sofa, table and chairs and huge bed (2 singles pushed together!). The staff were very welcoming on arrival and helpful with minor issues. We ate in the atrium area when we arrived and the food was delicious... More

Simply stunning building and grounds. Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed a night's stay here, using the pool and spa facilities and also ate in the bar. Breakfast in the very impressive dining room had a wide choice. Will definitely return.

I was so excited to have booked a break at such a"lovely "hotel. The reviews were great and me and my son have never been away to a hotel together before so I chose carefully. On arrival to our room I noticed the bed (pictured) that has stains on both sides. Immediately I worried that someone had been ill in... More
