Stayed here for a week with work and as well as a beautiful building and location, the atmosphere was wonderful. Lovely food and staff who went over and above at every opportunity. 5 minutes from the motorway but you would never guess! Looking forward to visiting again.

A large group booking on a Saturday Evening was comfortably served and all looked really great. The 3 course meal was very tasty and well presented. A good array of reasonably priced wines and of course a great range of beers. The only comments that were negative were portion sizes... Some suggested they should be a little larger... We will... Lovely old pub, staff were great and friendly, the lady behind the bar when we arrived at lunchtime was lovely...food took a long time to come out and orders had to be returned as they were wrong...Perhaps a busy or off night though, everything else was good...

We stayed here overnight a couple of weeks ago. The room was lovely and the service and breakfast were great. A lovely traditional feel. I left my toiletry bag in the room and the owners very kindly posted it back to me. That was very kind and above and beyond!! thank you

We have this last weekend been with friends for an evening meal. We have not been for some time and shall now not go again. We ordered four starters. The Moroccan lamb cakes were dry and there was a distinct lack of lamb. My main course of sea bass fillets were awful and this was pointed out to the waitress.... More

An excellent country pub just of junction 16 of the M5. A very pleasing looking country pub, both inside and out the inn is pleasing to the eye.The dining areas are in the bar, a side restaurant and an Al Fresco outside dining area. The accommodation is very well presented with good decoration and a good bath room.

We went to The Bowl as a family of 5, nice looking pub reasonably busy but not crowded... We opted to sit of the back terrace(could do with some sun umbrellas, or proper tables under the canopy?) that said the space was great! The children ordered off the children's menu all good choice for a very good price, the adults... More

Normally a big fan of the Bowl but to served cold soup only to be given exactly same plate reheated with nibbled bread ! is not good etiquette. Then manager to busy to discuss suggests standards may have slipped since last visit .................
