I don’t normally write reviews unless it’s amazing or really bad but this hotel was just perfect/amazing for our two night stay in Bristol. The staff were so friendly and so professional . You can tell they are trained so well by good management :-) it’s just nice to see people appreciate & like their Job with a friendly smile 😊 nothing beats a smile and manners. Sophie at reception was really lovely & made our check in easy. The restaurant was so good we ate here both nights because it was the best sea Bass I have ever had! It was so fresh and tasty with crunchy fresh vegetables or Salad. Everything was done so well. The staff were just so attentive especially when dining with two young children. I should of got the young man’s/waiter name who was so helpful at our meal. The bedroom was modern with a really comfortable bed & it’s always such a bonus to have a fridge in the room for fresh milk which they provide, so much better than milk coming from plastic containers. The swimming pool looked brand new and really was lovely to have my family back swimming again since lock down. My daughter was so happy with the pool but pls book the pool, breakfasts times and restaurant meal times as because of Covid this is a must now. They used really good spa products too which is a nice touch. Thank you for making our two night break away so lovely 😊

We have just had the absolute pleasure of staying at this hotel again,we were here 2 weeks ago and decided to return for another overnight stay. This is really a Five star hotel with the food beyond nice and even better staff, massive thank you to Dan and Aaron, you are both equally amazing. We previously stayed in a room where the bed really needed changing, this time we were allocated an updated room which ensured we felt like royalty. Please see food below, you will not get better,we again had an amazing rate. As we are Health & Safety Consultants,we can confirm that this hotel is completely Covid Safety conscious and a safe environment. Thank you to Gareth and all the team, this is now our favourite place to hide out despite only living less than 30 miles away,a great escape from work. Thank you all....Deborah and Trevor Johnson(31st -1st).

Despite a few indifferent reviews of late, our stay was great. We had three family rooms and all were to a new high spec and faultless with little touches like kids activity set. Pool great. Restaurant dinner fabulous. 10 of us with different dishes and courses. All really good. Breakfast also really good. Some wait in bar due to table service only given covid but that’s to be expected given circumstances. Great recycling approach to that ive not seen in hotels re free milk from corridor and little multi bin in room. Highly recommend and would definitely use again myself.

I have stayed at the Aztec before and have found it to be fabulous. However this time round the room we were put in was so old fashioned, it did not match the photos on the website or what we have previously seen! The bed and pillows had obviously seen better days and to be honest was one of the worst nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel. I appreciate that during Covid they may be choosing to put all customers that check in on the same night in one corridor so they can alternate rooms during changeover but given how quiet the hotel was I really also didn’t think it appropriate for them to stick us next to a family room. On our walk back to reception in the morning the doors were open on a few rooms that were getting cleaned and they were modern and fresh. Did we just happen to get really bad luck with our room? Or do they actually have loads of really dated rooms and it’s just a case of luck? Feeling really disappointed as had looked forward to this break. I would actually say that the ‘lodge’ across the road is cheaper and actually a nicer bedroom than what we had from the main ‘luxury spa’

I was at this hotel last weekend for a forces reunion. The staff were very good, but there just wasn’t enough of them to man the bars properly. The rooms are really nice, the coffee machines are a fantastic addition to the rooms. The food in the restaurant was very nice also. Breakfast was superb.
