I stayed here for a work Christmas night out and did dinner/bed/breakfast. On arrival i was helped to my room and the room was amazing. It had a view over the gardens with a balcony and every thing was perfect. The meal in the evening was all very well presented and tasted very good. The staff were all very attentive...

I stayed at Berwick Lodge for one night, but wished I could have stayed longer. It is an old country house hidden at the end of a long lane. It's not easy to find! But well worth it when you do get there. Each room is different. Mine had a huge bed raised up several feet above the floor level...

Booked to stay at this hotel as it was 4 star. The bedroom was freezing cold as no heating on when I arrived late at night. The bathroom was tiny, when you sat on the toilet the sink was inches away from you. The wardrobe was half size not long enough to hang anything in and the telephone was on...

Took a while to find someone to check us in but once we did, we enjoyed a wonderful stay here and the room, staff and the whole hotel ambiance were exceptional. Was very impressed with the attention to detail and finishing touches. Returned home feeling relaxed, revived and pampered.

We had a wonderful stay in Berwick Lodge. The room, Lydia, was spacious, comfortable and quiet, with a stunning bathroom! The food in the restaurant was excellent; highlights included perfectly cooked Partridge with melt-in-the-mouth salt-baked parsnips and tart blackberries, a delicious smokey Skate starter, and an indulgent but perfectly balanced pudding of Valrhona chocolate and macadamia, all with excellent wine...

The occasion was a birthday for an older person but the group had people from the age of 3 to 83 to cater for. The dining room was spacious, the staff young, pleasant and attentive. The food was very good - we booked a two-course lunch and had use of the lounge before and after the meal. With decent weather,...

On arrival in the dark the lights were not on in the car park but a warm welcome awaited once we found the front door. We had an issue with the rather tight double room allocated ( exit only one side of the bed). However, we were delighted with the huge room that we were offered instead, a very comfortable,...

Dear Erica, thank you for your review. I am sorry that it was dark on your arrival, we have now changed the time that our car park lights come on. Thank you for your comments regarding the double room. We will be looking into the marketing of 'Galatia', which we currently advertise as a 'Small Double'. I am pleased that...

Great views and lovely old renovated property with a lot of character . Staff friendly. Restaurant on site. Only minus was that it was difficult to find behind - need a sign on main road at the bottom.
