Called with family reasonably early in the evening following a village event. Bar snacks all round were excellent. Service was great. Beer was good. Atmosphere was great. Such an improvement, well worth a visit.

Decided to stop out over Christmas for a few nights and chose the Kings Head - mainly as we had been there before for a drink and liked the look/feel. Room was substantial and well appointed - and looked like it had recently been re-furbished. Bed was huge and very comfortable and plenty of room for the "put-u-up" for our...

Stayed for three nights, for business/social weekend Ideal location for exploring Norfolk, inland but only 10 mins from coast Nice clean friendly hotel, looked like it had been recently decorated. Food in restaurant a bit pricey, bar food more reasonable Room was a decent size, clean and comfy Enjoyed our stay, will be back Phil

Just had a lovely Sunday lunch here with family. They happily accommodated 10 of us. The Sunday roast beef was cut thickly, the vegetables (6 varieties), were well cooked and the Yorkshire pudding was big and fluffy (being from Yorkshire we appreciate these things!). A nice touch was not having to ask for extra gravy which came with the meal...

Stayed recently for a special occasion. The food was superb and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, well appointed and quiet, large bathroom. The bar had a great selection of gins, but rather exepensive. The dining room was well run and the food was inventive and extremely well cooked. As foodies we...

Decided to give this location a try after stopping for a drink in September. This hotel is in a brilliant location to explore the Lake District. The hotel is fantastic and will definitely be returning again. It was great having a drink in the residents lounge with the log burner keeping us warm after a days walking it was so...

I was booked for a one night stay. Reception is modern and appealing. Bedroom was large, but tired. Carpet was torn and the very large bed (two singles put together) had seen better days. Since it was a Sunday, i ordered the roast beef for lunch. Over 30 minutes later, the plate arrived. The beef was 'luke warm' & I...

Very good Sunday lunch, service was friendly and quick despite being very busy in both the bar and restaurant. Staff engaged and efficient, especially hard at the end of half-term week. Food was well cooked and well presented, everything we asked for arrived promptly and without fuss. We will be back!
