My friends used to visit this restaurant regularly, especially the evening events, Christmas and New Year. We decided to try out the Sunday Carvery as we were in the area. We all ordered starters, which was served on one plate, including the bread roll and packets of butter. We were then asked to go up to get our Carvery. My... More

Its the first time i have been here. The building inside is lovely. We went for a sunday lunch which you can help yourself to the veg, potatoes. The food was nice, average. The only downside was the cauliflower cheese it tasted like its out of a packet not fresh. The gravy i prefer it thick alot of places make the mistake of runny... More

We got married at the White Heather in May 2011. We had a wonderful day from start to finish. The team at the venue couldn't do enough and the service was excellent thought. The venue was beautiful and the gardens around the back were a lovely back drop for photos. We got married in the orangery room which has sky... More

This was our Christmas meal, there were 25 of us, the carvery was very good. with a good selection of vegetables. The 3 choices of meat were cooked just how I enjoy them. The 2 course meal an coffee was priced very reasonable. The drinks prices were shocking, 1 pint of John Smiths and a J2O cost £8.50, this was far to... We went to the White Heather last week for Sunday Lunch. The staff were pleasant and very attentive. The meat was perfectly cooked, and you could have as much veg and potatoes as you wanted. The gardens all looked beautiful!! And the desserts were as equally good. Great Value!! Will be returning!!

Very nice staff, setting and food. Man serving the meat asked me if I had enough meat. He was chatty and friendly although he was busy. I saw the owners present and chatting to the customers which was nice to see. The only suggestion I have is, maybe more use of the lovely big gardens on a Sunday may encourage... More

I was part of a group that had planned to attend to a charity event at The White Heather. When it was cancelled (due to lack of bookings and so no fault of the restaurant) the management not only refunded our payment but very kindly offered our party a free lunch which we enjoyed on Sunday. In a previous post... More
