Delicious Sunday lunch midway through a day out on the WSR. Very friendly staff and interesting location next to Washford station-which we explored after our meal. Pub is dog-friendly. Boozing advisable.

On a motorbike trip around the lovely roads of Devon and Somerset I stopped off for a break at the Washford Inn. As a biker I wanted something other than beer and ordered a coffee and then thought I'd grab an early lunch. I had an excellent burger with a large portion of chunky chips (more than I could eat)....

Visited for lunch when passing. Plenty of parking for the motorhome, which was a prime reason for stopping. Decently priced menu of homecooked food. I had pork curry - delicious. My wife had the homemade chicken and mushroom pie, also very good . Both meals were easily big enough for two people and I am greedy. Doing a steady trade...

We were greeted by a young women who said if we took a seat she'd come over and take our order. A couple a minutes to peruse the menu she appeared and helped us order. The menu was simple...

We walked up the Old Mineral Line from Watchet to see Cleeve Abbey and the vintage railway station, and stopped for lunch at the Washford Inn. The food was excellent and everyone very friendly. Even our youngest, who is notoriously fussy was catered for, and we highly recommend a visit.

We stopped off at the Washford Inn for lunch today. We didn't know what to expect but we found a really nice place to sit and enjoyed a very good meal. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and the meals were hot, tasty and if anything a bit too big to eat! We would go back again next time...

We had a lovely time at this inn. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed and was clean with a comfortable bed. We also had the bonus of seeing steam trains from the West Somerset Railway pass right by our window, but only between 9am and about 6pm so our nights were peaceful and...
